Dude, I know this reconstructing and kinda "studio" work is different from playing life by DJs, but watching your videos and going along with you working I can finally imagine and understand how DJs works live. I am a drummer and few other instruments player, playing with band and my imagination about music was always like having particular sound by actual physical movement by you in real time. And watching DJs live just scrolling something up and down, turing some volumes up and down in random moments was a nonsense for me. Now I get it it's more like math, computer, technical stuff counted in metrum phrases. Adding some fazer for example just before next phrase's start. Thanks for making me understand that black magic :D Now I can see it's a complicated thing to do as far as playing an instrument.
EDIT: In this video i like a music connection beetwen different genres. :) Like lead from sandstorm using "power chord" in rock/metal which i didn't know that untill you showed it to me (cool and simple trick), the kick with more punch like is needed in metal. Cool stuff.

Ecuador! That would be great, it's such a masterpiece. But I'm not sure it would be as interesting as deconstructing sandstorm, "technically speaking" - Ecuador is way more "pop/classic", and the sounds are probably more from digital synths presets. I may be wrong thought!😄

Doctor Mix Actually, it is pronounced as ”sändström” here in Finland. As lttle known fact is, that Darudes (aka Virtanen ie. Electricity in English) original name was ”Sundström” and we Finnish speakin Finns ”finninize” those weird anglo and germanic names so that for us it’s ”sändström”. He has to change his last name, as when he was in kinderkarden and honed there that ”ti-ti-ti-ti-diii” pattern, and other kids started to mock him he got pissed and killed all the kids and staff too on that particular kindergarden. After that he fled to French foreign leaque, and got new identity as ”Virtanen” because of his electric temper. In his combat mission in Asia and Africa he further tonet with his trigger finger to be able to perform that exact 4 times per second bånote pattern. And rest is history, when he returned back to Finland! (And if you dont believe any of the above, please be more specific what part, so I can lie it more truthfull! :P And sorry for Darude already if you happen to read this. Nothing personal, and good song too! It’s just me! :D )

Just watched this video first time, and the energy and musical feel from you is endless.
I enjoyed every second and was thinking as you were making the mix "lets add a sawtooth to that square wave" actually before you did a second later, "filter out some low, we are missing this line yet".
So your enthusiasm has finaly awaken the feel for making and mixing music this way in me, I actual start to learn how to achieve an effect and I think your effort on this track was one of the best yet, very close but even having a bit more body than the original even.

Is there a reason you did not use the original voices from JP8080? The name of the song comes from a patch named as Sandstorm.
