    Great video! If I’m going to invest in a good camera what would you suggest?

      If you’re focusing on portraiture like this, you’ll get the most bang for your buck with a Canon EOS RP and a Viltrox RF 85mm F1.8 lens. If you can do without fancy auto focus you’ll save five hundred bucks by going with a used Canon 6D body and an EF 85mm F1.8… If you went with a crop sensor body sure it would be fine but in two years you’ll be wanting either a full frame body or an F1.2 lens, the latter costing $1,300 or so and the former costing only a few hundred dollars more than a crop sensor body- better to just start with a full frame for portraiture these days because you’ll end up wanting one and it’s an easier buy up front than to upgrade later.

    Hey Andrew! Can you do a tutorial on how to take good pictures while the client are still in the chair? Sometimes i don't have the time to do much... but i really wanna take good pictures! Thank you for the content

      Do you want to conceal the fact that they’re in the chair or do you just want to make it look better?

    could I do this with a soft box light instead of a ring light ?

    • @andrewdoeshair
      @andrewdoeshair  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, soft box would be way better actually. I just use a ring light in this video because lots of barbers already have ring lights

    • @rosevansilbersee3716
      @rosevansilbersee3716 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@andrewdoeshair perfect ! I have 1 soft box light. I just need to get that light that you use in the video that shines against the wall, and then I should all set up

    the yn light the battery dies quickly

    • @andrewdoeshair
      @andrewdoeshair  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah if you leave it in the light even with the light turned off it’ll drain the battery. I think it’s constantly powering the Bluetooth functionality as long as there’s a battery in it. I just keep the batteries on chargers all the time and put them in when it’s time to get the shot. You can also get much larger batteries for it, that’s one of the great things about those Sony NPF batteries, they come in a wide range of interchangeable sizes to meet your specific needs. I have some huge ones I use to power my lights through long form videos, and I have some tiny ones I use when traveling with the lights for doing a few little haircut shoots throughout the day at the salon or whatever.
