Watched this again today as his 1963 Auckland Cup victory was tonight 59 years ago ,beat the mighty Tactile,Cardy started 78 yards behind ,incredible

No really. Robin Dundee was a champ but the rest, not so much. But Cardy the best we have ever seen.

Footage of the 1963 Auckland trotting cup would be good. If anyone can post I would be grateful. Cardys run in this race is un believable.

Reg Clapp and Reon Murtha were very outstanding race callers.
Terrible commentator.....never liked him back in the day and seeing this proves it.
