- Here is a kriti which resonates in all our minds from Thyagaraja Swami’s set of Kritis where he is is full
Of questions and possible answers.
The quintessential question as to where can we find the almighty.
‘What is the form you take O Govinda - Are you in the form of the Trishakthis, Seetha (Mahalakshmi), Gowri or Vageeswari (Saraswathi), or are you in the form of the five elements Earth, Air, water, Space or Agni ( in the form of the Sun), or the form of the Trimurthis Vishnu, Brahma or Shiva. Please do guide me ‘ , he implores.
Here we have taken neraval at Seetha Gowri Vageeswari and tried to explore the idea of the almighty as the Trishakthis. The kriti being in Kalyani helps build this concept.
This is an extract from a concert for RR Sabha. Couple of years back, a concert honoring the great Legend Smt.M.L.Vasanthakumari. She has sung this composition in so many of her concerts in the most refreshing and amazing way.
The artists are Vidwans L.Ramakrishnan, Sri Neyveli Narayanan and Sri Alathur Rajaganesh. Don’t miss the sparkling Taniavartanam by the percussionists.

What an endearing beautiful composition ❤️ Heartwarming masterpiece of Tyagu! And a personal favourite from your repertoire akka. The way you elaborate the raga, the sincere rendition of the krithi, heartwarming neraval and absolutely lovely crescendo of kalpana swaras and masterly thani avarthanam makes this upload a most cherishable one. How more can a gem this be ?? ... such endearing alapana with all those chiseled phrases make the day... that too something as auspicious as Kalyani 😊😊. I loved the neraval. Lots of ingenuity in some parts, along with some really exciting surprises. Kalpanaswarams flow in an unobtrusive manner with a sprinkle of magic. It's sweet and eloquent. Especially the last swaram picked it to a whole new unimaginable level . TH-cam should seriously enable infinite like button. Single like is not sufficient for this level of magnificence. 52 minutes passed like seconds here. Truly how marvels prolify and unearth through your voice. Also love thr little notes penned down by you in the description, highlighting lots of intricacies. They are the things one should before listening to a krithi. 😊. Grateful for these priceless compositions of Sadguru Tyagaraja swami and you ,for sharing them and enabling us to listen 🎶 ❤❤.

In a recording we do lose a lot of the magic on stage but your note makes us feel that a good rasika can recreate the live feel in the mind :) ❤
