Flora cut the cake because the mum thought she was the most responsible person with the knife. She didn’t trust Gemma or Alice with a knife. Theatre is why flora cut the cake. It’s a bit easier to understand these things from the book.
Flora is horrid *indeed!* Alice is probably only friends with her because her mum forced her on her. Glad that Alice told Gemma that she is still her best friend *no matter what.* Wish I had a friend like that in my childhood.

5:59 just noticed that I only live 10-15 minutes away from where this was filmed in South London, I also saw a few scenes being filmed local to me in this show😅 if I’m correct, those block of flats would be Morris Walk Estate, which sadly aren’t around anymore due to the council neglecting them and building new apartments there after demolition. I had lovely memories in that area visiting family friends, hence why my ears perked up when I saw this scene as it looked really familiar to me.

One time I was with two of my friends and she came over to us and picked up a slice of pizza my friend was holding and threw it in her face just because she was friends with me. I ended up kicking her in the shin and she started screaming like a child
I've read the book and I loved it as well as this series I think the character flora is a very rude girl but I think Jemma and Alice are two grateful wonderful girls P.s I'm sure the person playing flora is very nice

New Boyfriend, new life in Scotland etc. I get Gemma was quite a unruly, big-mouthed wild child who made some terrible decisions, but couldn't she have gone about it in a different way? But on the bright side, this has a much happier ending than the book.
