    Was really excited to see that '70 , 71 or '72 Camaro that got me to click this vid. What happened? My 1st hot rod was a burnt orange '72 RS, split bumper, 4 on the floor, 60's all around w/ Keystone rims. Wasn't a muscle car but it sure was a looker.

    I bought a 68 Z-28 in 68. It was an RS model with the covered headlights (vacuum operated), 4-11 gears and a four speed. It was OK, but I soon sold it and bought a 67 Corvette, which I liked much better. List on the Z-28 was about $3700.

    Just out of the Marines in 1974 I bought a 1970 cortes silver Chevelle SS 396/402 automatic, black buckets seat and console for 1500.00
    it didn't have one spot of rust . A year later, I broke off the top of a push rod and didn't know how to adjust that valve and sold it for 1500.00 thinking I was doing
    great getting my money back, what a mistake !

      Worst thing you can do to a car is not run it. Engines and parts need motion, or they dry up and start to deteriorate. Engines in particular need to be run, or internals will start to eat into each other, rings will get a compressed memory, and seals will dry rot.

    Why the misleading the 71 Camaro on the thumbnail

  • @bme6949
    @bme6949 ปีที่แล้ว

    The 67 Shelby Cobra 427 Super Snake was the only car from the muscle car era to come from the factory with over 800 horses under the hood, So why does Chevy and dodge act like they were the power kings, they couldn’t compete even with the corvette against this machine. And no dodge ever came close. The muscle car era was owned and maintained by Shelby

    How about a very rare 1967 Chevy nova with the 1968 body design with the smokie yunics 396/427 mystery motor munchies m21 transmission 6 where made for racing they where the pre runners prior to the copo/yenko novas pre super sport guaranteed 6 second 1/4 mile times or your money back from the factory they never refunded any money back on those cars yes I had one of those nova's in my collection a few years ago how about doing a story on these unicorns of cars

      Uh, are we 'bench' racing? I hope so. When bench racing outrageous bullshit is allowed. If not, well, then you're simply full of crap. Six second passes in a Nova in 1967? NFW, dude. At the 67 WinterNationals the AA/FD (predecessor to to day's Top Fuel cars) dragster owned by the Creitz & Greer team, with driver Gene Goleman at the wheel, set a new NHRA ET record at 7.26 seconds and was runner-up at the event. And you're telling us a full-bodied, gasoline-fueled, normally aspirated 67 Nova was at least a 1/4 second quicker? Bullshit! Now, sit your butt back down on the bench and resume the only real racing you obviously know anything about at all.
