Hi, don't know if that's a white fig tree or black figs, but for the white fig tree our Italian neighbors would wrap the tree in canvas every winter because they said a really cold winter could kill it. I don't know at what age they started covering the tree because by the time I moved next door to them the tree was already young but tall and healthy. It gave delicious white figs for many years (which I also got to enjoy) but I would say it lived for about 25 years till it finally died. The doctor next door to them, who never took care of his black fig tree and didn't care if we collected the figs when they were ripe, got to enjoy his tree a lot longer because I think the dark figs are a heartier type which aren't as delicate as the white ones, the flavors are very different but both are delicious. You should check and see if your tree needs protection from cold weather. I think there's nothing like growing your own food and enjoying the great flavors of everything that you grow yourself in the garden!
Thanks, we did check and it said it was ok down to -18 or something, which is very low for here. 🤷♂️ We'll see in the new year what it's up to. Take care and Happy Christmas 🎄🎁
Your garden is lovely, even at the end of November. There is so much promise and potential. I look forward to spring.
