Canada itself has no independent economic policy, It depends totally on US in every sphere of life .My boy In copper mine and his wife in health sector are feeling the heat of heavy taxes . The reason why France spend more money aerospace industry is that France is one of the major weapons suppliers in the world. They got companies like Dassault Aviation and They have best technology. Whereas Canadian doesn’t have any such technology so spending money on aerospace industry seems illogical. First they need to spend money on research and innovation. Then they can think of spending money on aerospace industry.

Great guest. Only thing I would disagree with is when she said "we're not smarter than them (meaning government officials)." Our country is run by a bunch of idiots who lack any basic understanding of economics and finance.
I think she meant the ones we chose to lead are expected to make smart decisions, and why they are not making good common sense decisions is surprising.

Good talking bites. But guest needs correction. Massive subsidies on EV is step towards creating ecosystem to keep automotive industry in Canada. The startups funding s expensive game. Without string you cannot keep giving grants. Dental program is good on on Europe lines. Govt can negotiate cost better than individual people. Not many in USA access it despite higher salaries than Canada
If u promote freebies though how much rich u are be , u will definitely go like Punjab one time rich state of India. Punjab is on brink of financial emergency , Now as for Canada is concerned it is going to worse . Health sector is most effected . Why not u charge minimum amount for problems, why free . I have been staying here as PR and so for not finding any private doctor . I had to get medicine from India for minor problems. Why not u allow private doctor for practice,,,,,,,
