It’s because most of us don’t listen to it on TH-cam and have been listening to it before TH-cam even existed. I’m only listening to it here this time because I haven’t seen the video in like 15 years.
@@konfusionxD Bingo man! Lol. People forget there are usually several "main" videos of all the famous songs on TH-cam + plenty of "side" videos where people just make their own images and play the song. The Rolling Stones "Satisfaction" would probably have 20 billion views by now if it was played on YT in only one video.
If the song wasn't performed, it's because the group has a lot of internal issues. Based on what I read, I don't think they could have come together to perform this song in front of an audience.
@@zoo05zoo based on the comments about the "group" you would think the talent would be with more than just one person. Oh yeah, I love Naughty By Nature on the other hand. I think it's a creativity problem. Not unlike your comment. Vague, hipster-ish like it's an "inside joke" that others should feel shame for not being in on it. But in the end it's just hollow, boring, mostly childish with complete disregard for any applicable laws. At the least the solo act has something that remotely resembles skill 🤣
Hip Hop was art and it was genuinely enjoyable. I remember dancing with enormous pleasure to the powerfully infectious rhythms, beats that had likable melodies. The rapping was art. The human voice is an instrument, and in music the human voice is a melodious instrument. In this song, Hip Hop Hooray, from 38-48 seconds the rapping achieves something unprecedented-the human voice becomes a percussion instrument. It is electrifying. This song should be taught in schools for the advanced levels of artistry it achieves.

Treach felt like his friends bolted on E, so he befriended him etc and invited him down to Hip Hop Hooray shoot etc.
One of the greatest in hip hop history. Loved all the cameos too from Fab 5 Freddy Monie Love and Queen and Run D.M.C. and Easy E. too. Goes to show you the respect Naughty had. Treach and Vinnie!!! Two of the greatest!!!!! BONUS for those who don't know this little tidbit!!!!! Vinnie's cousin is Mike Tyson!!!!! LOL
these guys set the direction and trend of hiphop. I never understand why they aren't spoken about so much these days. This is legendary, as legendary as it gets in hiphop
go beyond the mainstream and there is a ton of terrific groups and solo rappers, in the mainstream there are a few however, such as kendrick lamar and tyler the creator
So many cameo appearances in the video Queen Latifah, Monie Love, Run-DMC, Spike Lee (who directed the video), 2Pac, Eazy-E, Da Youngsta's, and Fab 5 Freddy!!
I’m a 60 year old white man and I listen to very little rap, but this song I absolutely love. I can listen to it over and over again. I think it’s one of the greatest rap songs that was ever produced and amazes me how fast these guys can sing this song.

this track should have 100 million views...
how can hip hop fans not listen to this?
When I saw the 4 million views I thought the same thing, it was the hip hop anthem of the 90s, 4 million is embarrassing..

There's another version that has 40m views lol.
