Taylor didn't know either or was close to either from the beginning before naturally developing relationships with both (at whatever level) later on. Honestly, before any controversy came up about it, the first time I listened to deja vu and heard that line, I instantly thought of cruel summer. I then relistened a few times over and was like ummm.... i cant be the only one to notice this... then the controversy started. I've seen online a lot of people say they don't hear it, but I absolutely do.
