    Good honest video, if your battery goes dead, just wing it like we did in the old days :))
    If we only had them when I was young :)) We used the edge of the coil,

    Solid review! Thank you! I have the MI-4. And I agree with you on the "Cons". I'm 63. My hearing isn't what it once was... so, if I could fix only one of the cons, it would be the volume....or lack of. As far as the rechargeable battery goes, it's nice, but I could take it or leave it. I also own the Garrett ProAT. If the Carrot had a pitch mode, that would be the only PP I'd own.

      I appreciate your comments. It’s a great device but I also like the Garrett.

    I live in central Utah. A couple of guys that live near me found several Mormon coins several years ago. I wonder how many are still out there. I am thinking about getting back in the hobby now that I am retired. Great review

      @mdutah-insearchofmormongold  ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow, I would love to hear that story! These coins are incredibly rare and I’ve never heard of someone finding one while metal detecting. I am aware of one that was found in a fireplace mantle in a pioneer home in Salt Lake and another in a safety deposit box In California. Larry H. Miller (family) reportedly has the largest private collection.

      @@mdutah-insearchofmormongold Down in Spring City. A couple of locals would hunt everywhere and they got several Mormon gold coins in that area. This was several years ago but I would imagine there are some left in the ground somewhere in the state. I am not sure about how many were made or accounted for. I just ordered a Nox 900 and plan to try and get my old fat body out and dig some treasures. I have found many tokens and old coins in the area down here. Good luck to you.

    You didn't show a sensitivity test on the small objects. Like one grain of gold

      @mdutah-insearchofmormongold  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, it’s hard to show everything. Plus, I didn’t have any grains of gold laying around lol

    Nice detailed review. I have the Garrett AT and like it, but looking to get a back up. I’m either getting the MI 4 or the Tecknetics/Fisher pinpointer.
    My biggest thing is how easy is it to find the power button & turn On/Off with gloves. I don’t want to have to look at my PPointer to find the power button.

    • @mdutah-insearchofmormongold
      @mdutah-insearchofmormongold  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree. I hate fumbling around with them. I’ve used several Garrett pointers over the years. I like them but the button on the AT is a little difficult. On the other hand, the button on the Fisher F-Pulse seems easy to operate.

    Id like to see a head to head against a Fisher F pulse. The Fisher has crushed all other competition easily.

      Yeah, the Fisher is a great device. Check out my other video for a comparison with other pinpointers.

    Dont need a lost alarm if you use a tether..and with the led light ..it blinks and indicates how low your bat is.. i love rechargable md equipments..remembering to recharge isnt a big deal for me ..and they last A LONG time per charge anyway...especially with vibrate off

    Hi bud good video I love my xp but I don’t know how much battery’s are in the US but 1xx9volt battery is about $12 Australian and now after buying 10 batteries you could get a new pin pointer but in Australia my pin pointer cost me $229

    • @mdutah-insearchofmormongold
      @mdutah-insearchofmormongold  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Wow! I can buy 9 volt batteries here in the US for $2.50 each. A handful of them over the life of a pointer is certainly worth it, but I can see how the rechargeable option would be appealing if you’re paying that much! I appreciate you sharing this information.

      @mdutah-insearchofmormongold  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      They’re both great, but Garrett is my go-to. It’s super reliable. There are also improvements with the latest model. Increased sensitivity and it is waterproof up to 20 feet.

      @@mdutah-insearchofmormongold I also like the fact the Garrett Carrot uses an easily replaceable 9-volt battery vs having to remember and have to take the time to recharge a pinpointer. If the battery dies in the field, a quick 9-volt battery swap takes seconds to do and carrying a spare 9-volt is easily done in any pouch or pocket.

    what depth can work?

    • @mdutah-insearchofmormongold
      @mdutah-insearchofmormongold  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Depends on the sensitivity setting and conditions in the environment. On average, it will pick things up between 1-3 inches.

    Which new detector can you buy that is not a rechargeable one 😢,unfortunately everything is going that way.

    • @mdutah-insearchofmormongold
      @mdutah-insearchofmormongold  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I’m not a huge fan of the rechargeable ones. Check out Garrett. My A/T Gold uses AA batteries.

    • @vonheltonscontradictions
      @vonheltonscontradictions 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Why not want a rechargeable ?
      You can replace the bats easily on most machines after 5 yrs if you need to.. my original nox still lasts 11 plus hours and it's 4 or 5 yrs old

    • @mdutah-insearchofmormongold
      @mdutah-insearchofmormongold  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It should pick up anything metallic. The range depends on the sensitivity setting. On average 0-3 inches.

    Another cool thing about xp..is you can buy the entire guts for like 90 bucks . Your gonna go through pin pointers over the yrs anyway the way they get turned off and on 300 times a day..and buying complete new guts and keeping the old shell ya get a brand new pointer for 90 bucks
