I agree! After I retired I sold off all my camera gear and bought an M240. Now I am looking to get the Summilux 50 asph, so expensive, but it'll be my Porsche. Life is getting shorter day by day.
I understand. I used to have many brands and bodies, manual focus first, then AF. I bought my first Leica in 1995 (M6) and currently I own a M262 (about the same as M240 without video) + M10 monochrome. 3 lenses : Elmarit 28, Summilux 50 and Summarit 90 (f2.4). All bought used. I sold my M6, R7, R8+DMR, M240 (x2) years ago. 80% of my pictures are done with the Monochrome + 50mm. M262 + 28 or 50 on travel. And 90mm for portraits. I also sold my Sony, Panasonic, Fuji manly because I get bored with them (just point and shoot). I'll never go back to AF body. Never.
Indeed. Less is more because "less" means more place to human and less place to automatic modes. So more time to observe, to choose your frame and your POV. Much less pictures at the end back home, but much less west too ! And the priceless filling to build your pictures by yourself.
Absolutely. There’s a right place and time for capturing quick moments that require a fast camera, but for many others, being more deliberate is important
I can't yet speak to your ideas about Leica ownership and vintage lenses because I've had my SL2-s for only two days and my m-mount to L adapter is backordered, but your presentation and production is terrific! Good luck with the channel.
I sold my SL2-S to buy the SL3 and I regret it... I miss the SL2-S a lot... such a gem... very underrated, but those who know, know. Built like a tank! I might get the SL3-s now that its out instead.
1st camera I bough was Q2 ghost edition. Made me fall in love with the brand. Added an SL2s recently with the 50mm Summicron. It’s become my daily camera. Also, the colors of the video you shot on the SL are 🔥🔥 I’ve never shot video on mine but it’s something I would like to get into. Anyways. Subbed. Thanks
I shoot most of the time film but used to put my R lenses on my SL digital. I don’t have the camera anymore but use the lenses on my R7. Watching this made me regret trading the SL for something else. The R lenses on the SL is a popular combination. Great look.

It sure is. You won’t regret it

I’d love to add a monochrome one day

Congrats on the camera! Thank you
While you wait for the back order try the Light Lens Lab adapter with the close focus. Very nice on SL
Enjoy the SL2-s
Good advice! I love my close focus adapter
Love the description of the spherical eye/spherical lenses
Thanks! I wasn’t sure if I was too confusing with what I was trying to explain
Yes, yes, and yes. Great job buddy.
Thanks Take! Always appreciate your ways of thinking
Awesome perspective bud! 👏🏻
Thanks 🙏🏻
Every day I miss my SL2-s with the voigtländer 35mm 1.4.
You can clearly see the difference in the images.
The SL system pairs so well with Voigtlander lenses

They really hit the sweet spot with the SL2(S) body

Hope you pick up an SL again! They work great together
That's a wonderful look. The videos from Japan truly look amazing.
