Hiking in Pirin mountain | Разходка в Пирин планина

Pirin Mountain is about 3.5 hours from Sofia (the capital of Bulgaria). It's one of my favorite mountains because it has an alpine character and has been sculptured by nature for millions of years.
We spent 3 days at the Bezbog hut, which was a wonderful place to start our hikes.
It took about 3 hours for us to reach Polezhan peak, and it was quite a challenge since we were climbing on an incline the whole time. The hike to Bezbog peak was another 20 minutes. The occasional shaky legs and increased heart rate were all worth it once we reached the top and saw the breathtaking views.
Make sure to get hiking shoes, snacks, and water as the last part of the climb gets quite exhausting.
The hike to Popovo lake is relatively easy and quite fascinating as you pass through many colorful wildflowers, flows of water, and beautiful nature. That hike took us about 1.5 hours each way.
