I was just telling a friend of mine the other day that being simple kind of man does not mean being a simpleton. To apply being a simple man in all aspects of your life can have a side effect of robbing you of the good wages you could make if you would just go hang out with some complicated assholes for a while. I found the best simple man is the people who will readily admit to things they do not know about or understand. I enjoy every lyric of the song… I do however fear for those who use it as an excuse for laziness especially opinionated laziness because people like that never write songs like this. And I do think to be satisfied can’t be satisfied only by the work of our own hands if we have too many disagreements about what a simple kind of man he is. I wanted to be a simple man… found myself conquering demons so long, but always just wanted to flow below the radar. Unfortunately life was more complicated then not… but the song, in my opinion was the greatest song ever written

One thing I want to mention is, this is not my song nor my vocals or instrumental.
Its fully by band in question.
Usually when you publish someone elses work online, they claim your upload as their own and take all the money.
In this case I uploaded pretty much whole peace, a 100%, most companies will claim your upload and take all the money, even if you use just 3-5% of their peace.
But to my surprise when I uploaded this peace on TH-cam, I was offered a 50-50 share, meaning I take half they take half.
They could've taken 100% if they wanted to.
Still I decided to turn off monetization.
Edit:as of 2021 ads are turned ON by me again, because this "awesome" website you are on right now is going to put ads regardless if I turn them off.So might as well split some revenue with the band so it goes into right hands instead of all going to G00gle.

Off the hook great SHARE good Lord knows I needed to hear that! I’m a cover Singer with a copycat Voice and timing ability. I sang this song 1000 times as a kid but as a busker I have not sang this song even once saving it for the time when and if I go legit. Singing this song and sounds like there are a kind of therapy for a lot of myself and other baby boomer veterans. Pretty sure those are newly-added acoustics to the Ronnie's vocal track...no acoustics on the original recordings. Song is SOOO much easier to sing in B (they tuned down a pitch to help Ronnie out) than C.

For those who think that the acoustic guitar parts are from Shinedown, my opinion, (as a 50 year acoustic player), is that Shinedown's version is not even close to this recording. Additionally, Lynyrd Skynyrd's electric version is nearly identical to this acoustic version. My vote: authentic Skynyrd!

Music not played correctly. Isn't perfectly in time with Ronnie like it should be. Makes it sound like shit. Does NOT represent Skynyrd & RONNIE correctly. Not even close. He always wanted it perfectly tight sounding, which this is NOT. It's insulting.
