Awww, that story was very sweet Bron & Im so sorry 4 ur loss. My ex husband & I were not ready 4 marriage. It ended after a few short yrs. We didn't have a huge ceremony, got married in my pastor's office w/a few witnesses. He was very abusive, physically & verbally. Eventhough it was abusive, it took many years 2 get that man out of my energy. I am a much better person 4 what I've learned about myself & know that there is someone out there who will love, cherish & value me.
Me and my partner had a beautiful wedding planned in Vegas a couple of years ago. Denny's had a wedding special deal for $199.00 (including 1 grand slam breakfast and a drink!)🥳 We got in a big fight the night before at the Strat.🤼The next day, I was stood up...all alone in the Denny's parking lot, holding my coffee and saugsage.😭 It was so embarrassing!
Aimee and i have been together since the 9th grade. She is my life. I'd do anything she'd tell me to do. I propose to her at a street dance.About ten miles away from town. I was friends with the owner of a radio station. That was sponsoring the street dance, so he had it set up to where the d j would call us up on stage, and i popped the question in front of a whole town. We'll be married 30 years in December. I wasn't nervous till i had to stand in front of the church and saw all the people there. I let her plan everything. I wasn't going to fuck anyone up so quickly.😂
We lived together for 7 years when one day i told him i wanted a ring. We bought my ring together that weekend. No proposal 😢. We married just 2 months later. Had a small ceremony at our church. Our preacher changed churches the month we got married. Met our new preacher over the phone. First time we'd had a female preacher but nothing wrong with that. She forgot the lord's prayer during the wedding and she was the only one with a microphone. She also bumped into the candle tree and knocked the lit candles onto the dry rotted carpet. Family raced to the stage to put out the fire. She kept my dad up there with us for half of the wedding. She did several vows that we had not planned. People joked that i married my husband 3 times and my dad twice 😂. Found out after the ceremony that it was her first time officiating a wedding.....that was kind of obvious after the fact . 😂. That was 26 years ago
My marriage proposal was fast and on a rush was married for 24 years til he passed away . If I had to do it again I would want it to be on the beach just nature and unscripted and spontaneous.
Hmmm…how was the whole experience?🤔 Well…firstly, I felt sorry for him when we first met. He tried to be a go go type dancer in one of those circles on Fremont Street in Vegas. He had taken apart feather dusters to make a “costume.”😄 It looked like someone plucked big bird. 🪶 He proposed on a dare from a friend, and it was downhill after that. 10 kids later we divorced. I gave him the best 2 years of my life! He kept his beloved 1985 Coachman Motorhome which is up on blocks in the Walmart parking lot. 🚐🛞Tell him I said hi, and that the check bounced…again! 😡🤬
