I wanted to say "this big interchange is overkill for just the local area access", but if we see that it has local area access *and* two crossing highways, it makes a lot more sense.
You kinda split the area already, so you could split the Village into 5 areas like the Olympic Rings and name each one after a ring colour: Black Tea Village, Green Tea Village, Red Tea Village, etc.
@@matheusandrew200 crazy late reply, but there is such a thing as yellow tea, although it is often grouped into green tea. And oolong tea is also sometimes referred to as blue tea.

Or name the whole sports area the Hugo There Memorial Park (in memoriam of Hugo who one fateful day sadly 'didn't go there' and got squished by an ambulance because traffic despawning was turned off)
For the whole district, I immediatly thought of "Macha Village". You know, Macha, Matcha, Match... Although, for the Hotels or Leisure I don't have too many ideas... Here in Mexico, one of the most popular teas is Cinnamon. Pure cinnamon with a tick of honey or brown sugar. We call it to "Canela", not "Té de canela" as 'Cinnamon Tea' would literally translate to. That being said... Perhaps for one of those areas "Canela Resort" or something like that? Cinnamon is warm, so I thought that made some sense.
I may be wrong, but I am pretty sure the AFL stadium is based on the Optus Stadium in Perth Australia (my home town) one of the reasons it may not have any road connections is because it is a "new age" stadium with very little parking, the primary way of heading there on game day is walking over an amazing bridge or public transport. =)
I love the intersection you used and it looks amazing... but I think its supposed to connect two highways and a city road. You used the second Highway connection to connect to your sports area and didn't even use the "Dogbone" part of the intersection (you can see the two unused roundabouts on either end).
Great to see Biffa's talent unleashed on his own projects. There's not a lot one can do for other people without destroying work they had already done. Even if it's better for achieving set goal. That way no one's getting their feelings hurt, biffa's got inspiration for own projects and we get twice as much material to watch. Brilliant. I would call one of the sport related thingies - stadium maybe "a cup of tea"
While this new dog bone intersection looks absolutely fun, I think it is too big for this area. It dominates the whole thing. But maybe with a lot of decorations, it won't be as bad.
I have taken a look at that intersection and I think it is meant to connect 2 large roads and a smaller road. Currently noone would use the dogbone at all. You could connect a small road to the roundabout to fully utilize the junction
After seeing your traffic fix videos I finally picked Cities off of my pile of shame and now find myself trying not to let traffic drop too much below 75% were possible. Very satisfying to follow along while playing myself.
Biffa you have no idea how happy you make me when you put genuine thought into adding disabled parking to your layouts even on a computer game, really does make such a difference to how people think about people with real life difficulties in regards to mobility and life in general, so thank you.
I would recommand the "Drosovilas Olympiastadium from Berlin" asset. Its a beautiful and huge oval stadium. A suggestion from me: When you would put the intersection underground you would had a lot more space for the Olympic village. At the moment the village looks a bit like it got cut in half. A lake would be a nice touch too. The Olympic park should be called "Olympus tsái park". Tsái is the Greek word for Tea and Olympus is the Greek home of the Gods.
Considering that the actual Olympics are in Tokyo this year, I think it'd be cool to implement something Japanese in the namespace. So you could go for either Ocha Olympic Park or Kocha Olympic Park Ocha being Green Tea Kocha being Black Tea.
That bit with the dogbone IC on it, call it Matcha Island. It's related to Olympics, because matcha is japanese green tea powder, and that's where the 2020 Olympics is, innit.
Well... in some sports they have a patch of grass called 'the green'... and there's green tea... and green tea is healthy... like sports... there's something there... 😅
Nice area. But you placed the enormous road interchange and didn’t connect any roads to the off ramps and dog bone roundabouts. You just extended the highways and used them as off ramps

Can't wait to see the sports village once it's been built up and whatnot. If I could make a suggestion, I think it might help to have a second interior train stop to bring people in. Your main stations are on opposite sides of your city, so giving people another place to catch a ride from might encourage more of them to take the rail instead of their cars.
Also, instead of adding trains to that route, add routes that end at different platforms. At your main terminal I noticed a train waiting to access a platform that was occupied while the adjacent track had no route assigned to it.
Tennis area just right next to the massive train station :D:D:D "We're sorry Mrs. Williams, you need to wait until the 12:05 Orient Express arrive, then you can focus on your serve"
Dont forget about a universiTEA 2.0 center! You could do heavy high pop buildings with a tram/metro and connect up a neighboring leisure zoned area for all those college kids. Maybe something like Tea n Chill, or The Chilled Chai.
Cup-o-Tea Biff? Try a regular tea bag and through in an Earl Grey. It's amazing. (do mind though, some sellers sell regular tea, add flavourings, and call it Earl Grey. Very naughty!)
I think we should honor the game calling the village Oriental Square by having athletes compete for a lovely cup of Yunnan Gold. Second place would earn a nice refreshing cup of silver needle. Third place could do with a perfectly acceptable brew of blended black tea (In chinese: Hong Cha, literally translates as red tea. As close as I could find to bronze.)
Did you know Tea is more dangerous than beer? I drank about 10 beers the other day while my wife stayed home drinking Tea all day, I got home around 1 or 5 am and she was a raging ball of fury, constant swearing and yelling till dawn. I was calm, peacful, but could barely get some sleep with her being out of control like that. Watch out for Tea Biffa! It makes ya wild!

hey biffa , been watching your videos for a while and noticed that you haven't (?) used speed restrictions to fix traffic. what i do sometimes is have 2 roads running under each-other and set the speed of the one underground to something more than the one people use for housing or industry or stuff. just in case all they want is to get to the other side of that road.
Thank you for the info on the monorail second connection. I'd not thought of having them T like that and it's exactly what I need in my Lodgepole district with the monorail loop around the outside.
Monorail, meaning 1 rail. 2 trains, opposite directions, same track. Head on collision. 15:11 there is a closeup of the track. I didn't know there were 2 tracks right next to each other. The game needs to redesign the monorail. It's doing stuff that is impossible irl, monorail cars hug the rail on both sides for stability so it can't change rails like you see there. Also, the turns where the station meets the main route is WAY to sharp.
Feels like this is so close to reality. A lot of countries/cities invest so much money for Olympics and other big events which often aren't used later on like in Athens. Hope Teaville will do better.
