You can though, if you just play 3-4 hours a week, at this point in wipe you should easily have Kappa done or hideout maxed if either was your focus, or just a shit ton of roubles if that's your fancy.

basically the game is good till you hit lvl 40 because after that there is no worthy thing to archieve for the "normal" player, except grinding the kappa or leveling your skill system, they need to enhance the end game a lot otherwise when it releases it will be dead in a couple of months

@@laksuh6926 no it won't... It's not dead now and we're the furthest into a wipe we've ever been. That's because not everyone is shroud and not everyone gets to where he's at in 1-2 months. It's taken me 6 to get halfway where he's at. I'm still not level 40.
@@OceanSlim most people don't like mmo style features in a shooter. Grinding in a shooter is not fun. The rewards should be variable gameplay experiences and not loot grinds and leveling skills.

I love the fighting in this game and it’s genuinely fun but you just get one tapped out of no where so much and just lose fights because someone has a meta gun and the best armor that it’s just annoying, but you also can’t take that stuff away or else it takes away some depth of the game so who really knows.
That is what makes it fun the fight the struggle to survive and to pick your targets plus how you maneuver your self

I agree..Tarkov feels empty after a certain point because there's no reason to do anything but find shit and fight for other people shit until you are both bloated with stuff.
I'm still hoping there's going to be an actual faction reputation system, radiation/hazards in the world, actual dynamic loot (they at least confirmed this one), NPC's that don't just sit at one location like dumbasses, fix the choke points (there's no point in them other then to force pvp that could otherwise be more interesting if happened dynamically).
Maybe one day.
Yeah those spawnpoints are pain in the ass. Happened a few times that I was solo & spawned next to a Squad of well equiped guys.
The come up is always the best part of Tarkov.
Tarkov still has the most realistic sound for when bullets are being shot at your head. That cracking sound is about as real as it gets.

I lol'd when I heard him say that. I spent my first month in this game like a paranoid stoner. I would stay crouched in a bush on customs for 5 minutes thinking I heard someone walking near me. And let's not mention how sometimes a distant bush can look like a person in woods. I gave away my position too many times shooting at nothing when I was a noob. Haha.
Probably was, stream snipers everywhere.
Tarkov is hands down best shooter experience ive played. highly recommend it.

Player scav in the beginning is one of the best new changes this wipe, you have to be careful when rushing loot spots, since scavs have no gamma even if they get to good loot first, you can still get them after you've killed them, and what better way to deal with a hatchling then a player scav with a gun.
100%.. im for anything that puts imbalance on the PMC's rushing loot-spaws.

the thing i dont understand, is if youre tired of the game, why dont you just restart your account to add the freshness again.
it adds a new challenge that people that played since wipe didnt get. you actually get a challenge of killing someone super thicc and having a huge come up. a wipe isnt necessary, its cool to experience, but not at all needed. The reset account button is only a click away!

That's not exactly what he meant. He doesn't want the only objective of tarkov to be pvp. He probably wants more quests and more loot to go for. He probably thinks its more fun to play for the looting and fight for the loot and not solely for the pvp.
He's basically saying, its about the journey not the destination. Like his goal is to accomplish the raid. To get gear. To get currency. To get objectives/missions. The pvp that comes with that is part of it but not the direct goal of it.
Also there is some scarcity things going on there to. Like the game is more fun when things are finite. Early wipe your not fighting dudes with a 2million rubble kit. Your just there with your shity shotgun or sks and a crap armor and backpack with a dream. You even feel the loss there. Then lategame you have 25million rubbles and decide to just bring 5 guns to raid instead of mags just for the memes and it doesn't effect you at all. This is why you see people like deadly slob play the way he has in the past with special limits to himself like no trading on the market and can only use loot found in raids. That kind of thing.
In Tarkov he doesn't want to fight people. Other games he does. Pretty simple imo my guy

To the other replies - the beauty about Tarkov is that you can play the game in soooo many different ways, you can quest, hardcore run, rely on hideout, scav, rat, zero to hero, play fast, slow, buy your way to a bigger stash, quest your way there, snipe, cqb, night time, Chad whatever... Even late wipe you don't have to play PvP and that's not the only way to play the game, this issue is people THINK you have to play it that way. Tarkov is a survival game... The key is to survive and by taking fights on regularly you are reducing the chances of doing that. This is a different game guys just because its got guns and it's fps doesn't make it a shooter.

But with the streamer "hype" some of the good old immersion is gone. Now they sprint and boost jump yeeting around while spraying around expensive rounds like nothing...
Adopting annoying gameplay is meta... Fast movements needs fast and accurate aim from the enemy and with a bit desync delay its very strong...

@@Toto-sv3vl bro it's normal if you are going for quests. I went into factory pistol over 70times to open the safe for my USB and you just don't survive most of the times.
@@Toto-sv3vl Yeah as Sweaxy Sweaxy mentioned, its honestly kinda normal. Just sorta roughing out the math, if people come into contact with more than one person every raid, that means a 30 survival ratio is going to be about average. But also depends on playstyle.

There is too many issues... worst thing is some people do have them and some people not, like the pitch dark shadows, some people do have it some not, sound bugs also the same... you can keep on calling it
Yeah, the other day someone sniped a guy in between me and my buddy and we both heard him dying but only one of us heard the shots when were like 10 feet away.... so dumb
@@hendrixsanford7119 Me my self im getting alot of shadow issues, reserve is my favorite but literlly impossible to play, when i look to a building all windows are pitch dark even if im in the building and just look down the hallway its so dark i cant see the end... Have a good PC tried all possible settings, deleting the game too tho, nothing helps... and my mates just do not have the issue me and other mate only have it from 6 ppl we play with... So whats the RNG on beeing OP cuz you have no shadow issues... so unfair... the adventage they have on me is insane....
I can't hear grenades land or explode (I can hear the fragments ping) or players run up escalators on interchange. No one else in my parties ever have these bugs. Insanely frustrating.

no scheduled wipes is my biggest gripe with the game. i didnt play the whole wipe, and id really like to play now. its so unbearable even getting to flea market, and there is no end in sight because they dont plan wipes
imho it takes way too long to get the flea market. playing under level 10 is a boring frustrating grind that heaps of people just dont have the time for :)

tarkov basicly has no endgame to keep you coming back after you hit lvl 40, unlocked all traders... devs keep adding new guns, new armors, bags, but not a single word about endgame

I see you havent been head eye'sd enough as a fully geared PMC to understand that even a barebones scav with a shotgun can instantly fuck you up. Now add in two other scavs and make them players? Yeah thats scary especially when they start playing smart and not just running at you

Streamers are a plague of most games because they want games to develop in a way that makes it easier for them to get flashy clips.

Yup player scavs will spawn at like 35-32 minutes left, especially if pmc's leave quickly or die. There's like a target for number of players in raid so if a 3 man goes to droms drops 1-2 loots marked room and extracts in the first 5 minutes player scavs will get in EARLY
Scavs are supposed to be there near the start. They have been for years, yes SOME player scavs join partway into a raid, but for a very very long time there have been player scavs at start (or within a minute of start). They supplement the NPC Scavs. Scavengers are ever present, they belong there. PMCs "raid" areas. They go in, grab stuff, and get out.
This is balanced by them spawning with mostly absolute junk gear. A solo scav stands little to no chance against a PMC.
Also, dude you gotta slow down a little bit as PMC. You shouldn't head on push scavs as a PMC like that. There's no benefit in it for you. What are you gonna do? Loot his uber leet TOZ? PMC is about surviving and being smart. Scav is about aggression and YOLO.

The number of old reddit comments saying ''they're gonna add this'', ''they're gonna change this'', ''they're gonna expand this map'', ''they're gonna fix this bug'' and lo & behold, a vast majority of those comments ended up being incredibly wrong and short-sighted. BSG is a shit company with a good concept in their hands, hopefully some other dev team decides to make a modern day extraction shooter.
The fact that most people enjoy the after wipe weeks the most, solidifies the fact this game needs level based match making. But the big players would be at an even playing field and it would make the game harder for them thus they will "suck" at it again . Welcome to my world haha..

Tarkov is supposed to be as realistic as playable, and just think about how you would be able to move with 30kg equipment.
If i would believe it is going to be any more gymnastic than it is, it has to come from a developer and not a streamer who doesn't even play the game very often.
Well he's in for a surprise cause the latest devblog talked about implementing inertia to stop the ADADDA spam and bunny hop that he seems to want more of
Early wipe has its pros and fun moments, but the repitition of tasks and lack of options gets old quick and I find the most fun after level 40.. there are more mods and options in this game than anything else I have ever seen, so why would I want to be limited to a makarov, a mosin, or a basic AK for months like some people suggest the game should be lol. I would hope they didn't put all the time in to add all this cool stuff and detail for people to be able to use them once every 6 months
A problem with tarkov in my opinion:
Pistol recoil. You nod upwards when shooting handguns

Pistols are the kingclass of shooting.
Tip: go to the shooting rage @ hideout. Go to your normal pistol fight distance and aim at the point of the wall where it goes from green to with. Shoot and move like you do in a fight. Look at the spray pattern.
My pistols are g17 and sr1mp where I hit good.

Hit Reg is the damn problem...Scavs can tank a headshot even though their bald and have nothing covering their head or face...and plus I’ve played so many games... pmc’s eat more than 50 bullets to the chest and face...I just came back to this game and I’m already regretting it...

It's a tough game sure and a lot of players are very dedicated, that still does not make Tarkov competitive because of the asymmetrical nature of the game.

It's just circumstances that can happen to anyone. Reserve and Interchange spawns are a bitch. He just ran into a spawn camper that heard him from miles away & waited for the chance.
Dynamic loot, better spawns, no automotic recoil compensation, add inertia to movement, more interesting/less boring quests, rarer high tier ammo/guns/armor. Fixed the game. Then we can work on netcode and optimization.

I like Tarkov, started to play 3 months ago and made it to level 63 + Kappa. But at this point, everyone is running around with HKs and M4s + M995 which kills you in 3 shots and you mostly can't even react if the enemy sees you first, kinda frustrating... I wish the time to kill was extended...
I think we can all agree that their priority should be performance optimization.

The movement revamps Nikita is talking about are going to slow player movement down not make it faster. :P He has talked about a whole bunch of leaning and inertia changes that will stop A/D spamming and the like and the speed at which you run and slow down.
But yes that armor Shoud was wearing does have one of the higher movement penalties. It just popular because it's cheap for what you get.

dude after 300 hours u seen all the maps and all the guns and most quests in and out.. the game gets unfun.. building loadout, loading time, spawn, sometimes spawn rushed but u learn to counter, soon u learn camping is the only way to kill people and it works very well, but there is always a camper with more patience. Dont start about unity omg this engine made my eyes hurt literally, we are now in 2022 and not much has improved, i have a decent pc and it stutters, maps with trees are horrible, shadows dancing around. This game is fun if u have no job and play 8 hours a day. Playing 3 hours a day is maybe 2 scav runs and 2 raids.. u will probably die because most ppl play duo's or trio's after dinner. so all u have been doing is going slowly and die too a camper, make new loadout, load in, go slow, 30 min baam camper again. after 3 hours u think did i have fun?? At the same time the game is very addictive.. Game is good first few hundred hours, as soon it gets boring and a second job just drop it. It is a good game if they fixed the performance and graphic bugs

Scavs spawn throughout the raid, beginning to end. I've spawned in as a scav with 5 minutes left on the clock before and only 4 minutes from the start.
Once most of the players have spawned, scav players can spawn.
the problem is that you keep showing up in my recommended section . i am not interested in your game play ..
my problem with tarkov is, if you don't start at wipe it is 10x more difficult. upgrading stash costs too much, it's better to just buy cases (you wouldn't know this if you bought EOD). and starting loot for us lowly entry level buyers is wack compared to other, it may not be considered pay to win, but it's pay to have a better start.
Just give me a Tarkov Like game without the character attributes (I want pure player v player's skills only not game induced additional skills/attributes), better quest, no trader levels, better lighting, etc and I'll be a very happy man!!!
Deadside is semi there but doesn't have the visuals, audio, enough POIs, and some more variety in missions!
Shroud talks about not using Meta-Weapons...well DeadSide def has that unless you're rolling deep with a group and slamming the Bunker and higher tier Missions.

@@netiosys4677 He used to be god tier at this game. Not Landmark level but very high up there. But watching him play games now compared to a few years ago before Mixer went down, he has definitely seemed to fall off the fps train pretty hard.

Not what he is saying, he is saying that the PvP in tarkov isn't why he likes it. when considering nikita's vision that's what he wants to play.
You didn't get his point. He didn't mean he doesn't like fighting people .. What he is saying is after doing it soo many times and especially after already having all the gear he would need etc.. he wants there to be more than just fighting people online .. He just wants something more from the FPS formula especially coming from the guy who played it for 8-10 hours everyday for months... compared to your avg guy, a streamer will get burned out of the game much earlier.

CS and Tarkov arent in the same genre
It's best at fresh wipe because people didn't cheese their stats, they don't have the best gear and everyone starts at the same level. Right now if you start you are facing off against super soldiers that reload faster, run further, have less recoil and aim quicker. If the soft skills were changed to a more RPG like system where level 50 is highest you get a reason to level up and do quests eventually people will be at the same level when they reach 50 and the playing field is even again. Even if people get level 50 at like day 3 that's fine they were able to play adn eventually people can catch up without dedicating hours and hours to cheese their stats.
wipes are legit pointless.. unless you are a brand new player. but its almost still pointless at that point.. lets start all over and waste time doing 180 worthless shit tasks.. then 4 weeks into wipe you have millions are run the same meta gear.. unless you are shit at the game and need the excuse of a wipe to feel like you have an equal advantage for couples weeks theres no point.
Yeah, the first day people were already running meta gear. So wipes are pointless unless the game gets some how randomized. At this point all the no-lifers rush through everything so fast.
I spawned reserve on the 3rd day last wipe and was going against guys in Altyns and meta m4s...
@@tangoechobravo806 I was running HK/m995 and AK/762BP with exfil and Killas every raid by week 3. If you have any knowledge of the game and even just average skill the wipe is nothing but a little month long annoying bump in the road.

It's still in Beta it's still evolving and I really appreciate shroud but a game can't be "perfect" either it fits your current whishes or it don't. Of course valuable criticism is needed but it should always be known that it's just one person's point of view.

Please don't ask for "better" movement they listen to streamers way too much. There is no reason why you should chad around corners in full kit with a 12lb rifle.
This... Movement is good enough for now. The game needs CONTENT because after you get lvl 40 and get burnt out of the terrible quest systems and get tired of using the same 2 or 3 loadouts every single raid, there is no point to play after the first 2 or 3 months of a wipe. And for a game that isn't planned on having wipes on release, that is not a good thing...

+the fact that Tarkov doesnt even have any momentum at all you can spam ADADADA and dodge bullets. If he wants that he should play Quake or something. Devs talked about implementing momentum in the last dev blog, can't wait to have proper movement.
@Cheerio Box These advanced features don't make up for the fact that movement is broken in several basic ways. ADAD spam and sensitivity changing with armor are still huge problems, problems that are made worse by latency and desync.

Coming from someone who has worn armor before, wearing a (and most modern amor is a lot lighter than that discounting having a full combat load of ammo on the front of it) 10kg vest won’t limit your mobility in the way you think it does. As long as your gear is strapped tight and isn’t rattling around everywhere causing undo inertia, your movement itself isn’t what’s hindered. Top speed and your stamina is what a heavy combat load wears on. That and trying to squeeze through tight spaces. Most people complaining about the movement system being unrealistic have probably never had to move with that kind of gear and weight before, or if they have they weren’t wearing it right or were the “un athletic” one of the group.
I DO however think the more weight you have on you (IE an attack 2 full of AKs and ammo) the worse the stamina drain and inertia penalty.
I’m also on the train for the current arm stamina drain changes, holding a 9 pound rifle with a 60 round coffin mag fully loaded at eye level isn’t something you can do for very long even if you are in good shape.
Medieval knight armor was probably heavier and you can see videos of guys full sprinting and doing acrobatic flips and normal vaults in full suits of plate armor.
You can wear a lot of heavy stuff as long as the weight is nicely distributed and move very fluidly

Never played this game but I love the focus of positioning and tactics rather then brain dead sprint and shoot wearing 40+ kgs the realist setting and gun play feel rewarding

When tarkov gets movement overhauls you are gonna feel more sluggish and heavy... they are gonna add inertia to your gear and pmc
I hope so. That’s one of my biggest complaints with the game right now. I hate seeing people strafe and bunny hop. That stuff is for call of duty.

I'm more frustrated by the unnecessary turning speed decreases on gear, if the game had a cap on turn speed then sure, but it doesn't so I can just set up different dpis on my mouse to combat this, so it just makes it a completely irrelevant feature.

I agree that it needs a movement overhaul but it's not supposed to feel like cod, the movement should at the very least feel a bit clunky especially when you're decked out in armor and have a weapon with a butt fuck ton of attachments. It's also a big relief that shroud understands where they want to take the game, unlike the tarkov "veterans" who mostly just want it to stay the same and wipe all the time.
I stopped playing last wipe. I’m waiting for a new map with a wipe. Even then I won’t grind it out, I’ll wait for the game to be complete before I try to “finish” the game. I started playing Hunt:Showdown instead. It’s my casual version of Tarkov and the grind is easy. I know people love the mil-sim style of eft, but I’d like it to be a bit more casual in terms of healing, energy, food, water etc.

I used to play OG DayZ on Arma 2 and it was the shit. You could find a car in 4 minutes or you would always spawn with a bike. Guns always had ammo when you picked them up and the servers and players were great. Once standalone came out it was good for the first 3 months or so. But the real downfall was once Dean Hall left the Dev team. It went downhill fast
Not long ago i saw a video where Shroud loved to play scav because it was so fun to rush and kill pmc's. Now he talks about a scavs obj is looting around and not killing pmc's......

I agree with whoever chimed in that Tarkov will never be "Open World"; I just don't see them pulling it off though I'm sure they want to. IF by some miracle they do, we're talking another 5 years minimum before seeing that day.
I don't think it'll be a true open world but i can the mlas being lacked together in some way. The devs got big dreams and some members of the community are way too toxic.

Tarkov has plenty of issues, but also not alot of competition in the genre, I could see Tarkov becoming really good if it suddenly had credible competition, without that Nikita is never going to take his head out of his ass.
