How to kill Fuelweaver as Maxwell (2 cyles, Tier 2 gear, No Wp) - Don't Starve Together | DST

- I wanted to bring this method because I see that when it's Maxwell in Fw, people have a lot of difficulty, because they don't know the right time to spawn duelists, or they're always being attacked by shadow creatures, or they can't manage their inventory because of the Codex. umbra, among other problems, so with this method you will be calm in the fight, you will never go insane and you can still kill him quickly with few resources and without the need to replenish the Umbra Codex. If you don't know how to do the nightmare amulet trick or cancel animation, it's no problem, but it will make your fight take 3 cycles, so I recommend bringing 2 nightmare fuels and 3 more banana sticks.

thanks, I thought about not using the dreadstone helmet to just have the queen bee crow, but I thought people would feel sorry for using it so I didn't use it lol, because after FW the main Maxwell would never use it again lol

Alright, that's so cool! When practicing fw I noticed he would do that when I trapped the wovens close enough to him but I never figured out how to effectively use it as a strat, you just showed me how, thanks.
One interesting thing I learned is that, if the woven is just close enough to fw he will prioritize healing over attacking you, the only thing he'll do is cage you, so I guess that means a smidge more dps? Anyways, awesome video, will be practicing this way of fighting him for sure

That's pretty damn impressive. I started maining maxwell not too long ago and fuelweaver is one of the few bosses I still have trouble with.(I struggle with fuelweaver with all characters, not just Maxwell. I've never been able to beat him first try and it usually takes 2-6 rollbacks/attempts to beat him) I'll try giving this method a shot. If you're using volt goat jelly, would it be possible to kill him in one cycle?
Probably yes, but only with items you get after your death, like fw armor or ink blights.
Test the method, I brought it because I find the methods on TH-cam very disorganized and inconsistent, which forces a lot of improvisation and this is usually what makes battles fail if you don't know how to correct them. Learn this method you won't regret it

After I learned the method, I just filmed it in an optimized way, so I can say it was the first time, it's not a difficult fight, it's something very safe
There's some things about this video that don't make sense. If you don't mind me asking, how is it that he never traps you with bone cage in phase 1? I've been told its based off of timing but even then the amount of time it takes for you to enter phase 2 isn't much different than mine. I thought it would've been staying close to him inside the red circle as well but he traps me even when I'm right next to him. Do you know what causes it? Also I thought I was trapping him at the same location you were starting at the beginning of phase 2 but he always eats 4 or 5 wovens for me, even though I'm waiting till the first one gets close to him in corner. Am I just reacting too slowly to them?
Well, it's not directly based on time, the cage has a cooldown, but if you base it on that, you'll always get it wrong. The best way is to know how it works, when FW will use it. I recommend watching the Porkus/Carrion video, he explains how FW's cages work. I couldn't explain everything in this comment because I would definitely confuse you more, and it would also be a lot of work to mention all the variations. Regarding the Wovens, you have to pay attention to whether some are not passing through the cage, the cage sometimes camouflages them and we don't notice that they are passing through, so you just need to pay more attention to that. About the cage, I recommend watching the video and then trying to practice by watching my video. Doing a boss based on time is never a good thing. Learn his moves and how he works and you'll be able to do it easily.

make sure you have lag compensation off.
if you're still struggling, it's simply a matter of practise. you'll get it eventually :)

Hi there! love your videos, but I have a question. is there a reason to use dreadstone armor over thulecite or other armor?
It's just personal preference, and from a boss rush point of view it's self-recycling, as you'll eventually kill the Werepig, and it's also a very easy armor to get, so I highly recommend it. I say is self-recyclable from a speed point of view, but you can use others of your choice

I tried this for my first (on MNK) FW kill and I got wrecked. Doesn't help that I'm using a trackpad and am using absurd keybinds but still. Definitely harder than it looks on vid. Prob gonna just have to resort to weather pains. But in that case, can't get much out of puppets
It's not easy, but it's also not very complicated, one of Fw's biggest problems is not the boss, but the management of things you have to do, especially when playing Maxwell, I brought this method to try to minimize this, keep training and you will do this method without weather pains, you don't need to do this in 2 cycles, 3 or 4, the important thing is that the Fw dies in the end. Keep trying I believe in you

Tem um timing, pq quando vc teleporta a animação ainda continua um pouco, mas é um time fácil, é só vc se teleporta toda vez q começar o controle mental, ou seja se teleporta sempre no início
