Fellow Tulsan here. Your mister seems like a great option. THE BEST thing I have found to reduce mosquitos by 7/8 is stagnant water with "mosquito dunks" in them They are little doughnut things sold everywhere. Put them around bushes and on the side of the house leave 5 gallon buckets or decorative pots around the perimeter of your property with stagnant water. Add a mosquito dunk or half of one. They release a bacteria that the larva will eat, then they die! You are stopping the life cycle. I did it and didn't tell my neighbors who have a pool. They noticed the difference after I told them a week after. Now they are doing it as well. They can always come in from other places, but the more neighbors do it the better results. You are awesome. I don't want you to ever leave Tulsa!
Mosquito dunks are the BEST! I put them where water sits in my backyard ... when we get rain. Like you, I also use them indoors to get rid of fungus gnats.
I’ve got to send your comment to my son. Almost two years ago he was diagnosed with Leukemia and since then when a mosquito bites him, within a few hours he’ll have a huge bump, then a very nasty bloody blister and a trip to the ER and he’s generally admitted. A couple of months ago he had an opened wound that was about the size of a peach, quite deep and infected on his ankle. So far the sprays he’s used on himself haven’t been 100% effective, I ordered Avon Skin So Soft shower gel hopefully that will work for him. Who knew that I’d find an answer to prayers on Rebecca’s YT video! Thank you!
Hi Joeo, Actually, I did have the "mosquito dunks" on my list of suggestions made by you guys and in fact included them in my upgrades. Somehow that part didn't make it into the final edit but rest assured... I have them tucked all around my property. Thanks for bring them up. A totally great suggestion :-) RR

Just a tip. In order to avoid cushions and other delicate outdoor items to be destroyed during winter, in a place with seasons, it really helps to store those things inside, if you have enough space, before winter starts. If you want a tree height plant you can stack a smaller pot in the middle of the large one. Plant the tall lemongrass in the top one and mint or oregano around the base.
Sailrite sells a clear tape to repair your umbrella fabric! It is used for marine sails, boat cover repairs etc. Not cheap but works and waterproof and cheaper than new umbrella!
You are used to California living!!... you need to make your garden "Winter ready".. ie cover, store, pack away the furniture, covers, cushions etc.. cut the trees in Autumn etc.. Ps. Glad the mosquito spray is natural... I hope it really is and does not kill other insects (which we need for pollination) and wildlife!... you only said it is safe for "humans and pets."
Get a good Polaris pool cleaner & it will last longer than any robot one. (This according to my talented pool guy.) You'll be able to have it serviced in off-season. Ours is going on 13+ years! Also - rats, rabbits & squirrels are all drawn to electrical cords in the south. It is a problem. Aside from all that...thank you so much for putting your videos out. I look forward to them!
I live in California and I was having a terrible mosquito problem, even though I was addressing the standing water issue. It turned out, that in one of my water fountains, there was an unseen reservoir of water where the pump was, and that was where the mosquitos were breeding. I took care of it, and my mosquitos dropped by 90%. RC
We used to store the boys baseball caps with a dryer sheet in them. It helped keep the bugs away when they were in the field. You can stuff the dryer sheets where you may have pockets of mosquitos. I hate chiggers and mosquitos!
And again it's a wow, beautiful it looks so inviting...I think I need to find a cotton to help with our garden and pool....ohh la la. And yes always water your plants after transplanting as they are in shock ...moving from one pot to another....I hear if you add vanilla essence and cinnamon in a bottle with water and spray on yourself it helps with mosquito's too. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Squirrels do fight! We used to watch them in my parents trees and they can be wild and ferocious with each other! They even chew up the wires and other things underneath cars if you leave them sitting outside!

Mint is wonderful! I have a hanging basket of mint by my door and I've only had 1 fly in the house in 5 years. It also keeps away stink bugs (if you have those little pesky beetle like things). I also have citronella plants. They help.
Get a weather app for your area. It will let you know when crazy weather is coming within the hour or less. Gives you time to gather the cushions, close the umbrellas and move anything that holds water. If you are leaving town, do all this before you leave. 😀❤
yes, bees are a pain but beware of wasps nests in your lovely wicker furniture. They build nest up underneath hidden areas.
I love a pool at night. I totally can’t relate to the mosquitoes. Well done! Colton is great!
Great ideas
Will be awesome when they all settle in and grow
Wonderful Rebecca as usual
Your design is great
The backyard looks so much better! I love plants.
Okay Rebecca robeson! 👀👀👀 Who else was like this?! You go girl
He's the best part of the video ❤ He needs his own channel 🎉

The eye candy at 20.52 was a divine addition ;)
I live in California and I was having a terrible mosquito problem, even though I was addressing the standing water issue. It turned out, that in one of my water fountains, there was an unseen reservoir of water where the pump was, and that was where the mosquitos were breeding. I took care of it, and my mosquitos dropped by 90%. RC
I think you are doing wonderful with your mosquito system. It’s eco friendly!!!!❤❤❤❤
Becky's Dreaming of a White Christmas ..... Yay! Love from Australia 🇦🇺
I really enjoy videos that show ideas on how to improve an existing space. This was a fun video to watch. Thanks!
We used to store the boys baseball caps with a dryer sheet in them. It helped keep the bugs away when they were in the field. You can stuff the dryer sheets where you may have pockets of mosquitos. I hate chiggers and mosquitos!
This was so comical (conjugal visit gone wrong, rude) sooo funny. I also like your design especially with the outdoors.
You are the Queen… everything is beautiful!!
Often wondered why you haven’t treated us to your beautiful backyard. Thank you for sharing this beautiful area.
Rebecca if Colton is single I think you should try that!! I’m sorry if I offended anyone but I think she should go for it!
Squirrels do fight! We used to watch them in my parents trees and they can be wild and ferocious with each other! They even chew up the wires and other things underneath cars if you leave them sitting outside!
We have had a lot of squirrel damage. I feel your pain.
It’s it expert keep purchasing new cushions every year? Maybe purchase custom patio covers to protect your furniture. It has worked for me so far.
I love your backyard and everything you’ve done to it! 😂 and you are just so dang funny! I love your style so much!!!
Backyard turned out beautiful, of course!
Begonias are awesome. Enjoyable video Rebecca. 😊
Omg can I borrow Colton , does he know how to do handy work like flooring or tiles? Seriously, amazing and fun video. I laughed and thought “ hey Rebecca, please have Colten help with Christmas decorating!
HAHA truth finder... News Alert!!! Colton will be helping out at my Christmas Bow Out Sale in August ... if you're close by... you can meet him :-) RR
@@rebeccarobeson1 Hi Rebecca! Oh I wish I could. I would have to fly in from NY! 😞 I love so many of your Christmas things especially the deer! I actually ordered from Sarah’s store and even spoke to Sarah over the phone. I ordered from your collection via amber Marie as well. Wish I could buy a few things that I love and had my eye on but I understand shipping may be a problem. Love you lots and thank you from my heart for your glorious Christmas videos. Anna.
Mint is wonderful! I have a hanging basket of mint by my door and I've only had 1 fly in the house in 5 years. It also keeps away stink bugs (if you have those little pesky beetle like things). I also have citronella plants. They help.
I just love you! Your designs are fabulous and love your home inside and out.
Get a weather app for your area. It will let you know when crazy weather is coming within the hour or less. Gives you time to gather the cushions, close the umbrellas and move anything that holds water. If you are leaving town, do all this before you leave. 😀❤
Beautiful, inviting backyard!!!
Awesome job as usual. Long time subscriber. Rebecca never disappoints!
U backyard is gorgeous u are halerious love u videos Rebeca enjoy u day 😘
yes, bees are a pain but beware of wasps nests in your lovely wicker furniture. They build nest up underneath hidden areas. Living in the midwest, I now love the black metal mesh style tables & chairs, rain passes through them , easy to maintain and can see bugs easily. Good luck with your beautiful back yard and pool.❤
Backyard is beautiful.
Love your backyard! Very nice
As always ms Robeson you did it again ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ love it
