This was my first official train chase. With over 6hrs of chasing through multiple towns and another 4hrs of editing, I'm very happy with how this turned out. Hope you enjoyed the chase.
Spectacular footage Jay, love it all. There will never be a time that the sight,sound of a steam locomotive won't put a smile on my face. I'm so glad there is still people and groups that support, run and maintain steam engines and their rails. It brings so much to people of all ages, full of history. Outstanding job Jay, Thank you 👊👍🤙

That's the year my folks were married and it's fire was lit again on 4/4 my mom's birthday. RIP mom. She's been gone 4 yrs now. Was born in Allentown, PA grew up in Chicago, IL. All kinds of messages from the folks today. On Deana Martin's Live FB show today she sang one of my dads' favorite songs too...I'll See You In My Dreams. I cried on that one...He's been gone since 2000. RIP dad. He was born in the house we grew up in. thank you for all you do...Always enjoy the videos so much. Man... that is one heck of an intro! Loved the idea of putting the camera on the gate. Nothing like those steam engine sounds. That whistle echoing throughout the area makes it that much better. Great video! I'll say this... I'd love to go train catching and even just railfanning with ya. This video is fantastic. Too bad that girl got in the one shot but overall this is really enjoyable.

I love a long train except when I’m sitting at a crossing.lol even then it’s cool especially if there’s a caboose. This is really cool J. I greatly appreciate you sharing the train stuff. I live in the wrong part of the country for good train action. I'd give anything to spend a day in your man cave J.
Soooooo many newly restored to operating steam locos here in the states. Every month for like the last year or so there’s been one new project after another. Im subbed to railfan and model railroading channels from all over the country so it’s like I’m constantly getting new videos

I’m a new viewer and subscriber when i caught your outdoor hiking video last month however I’ve always been a diehard steam locomotive fan and had no idea that ended being your winning expertise.It was especially gratifying to have the rare opportunity to interview the owner and operator where i learned a whole lot about how soft customers have become..I really hope he can do a nonstop day trip for rail-fans.I will Be booking trips with these lines as well as others to support their hard earned efforts in bringing back and keeping steam power alive and well.Thanks

I guess the drone footage is probably my favorite because it's a perspective I can't get on my own. This is a truly awesome sight to see a modern coal train being pulled by a steam engine also a caboose at the end this hasn’t happened in over 70 years

Awesome video JP. You done did good ! My dad worked for the Reading and would always let my brother and I know when the Reading Ramble would be coming through. We waited with train ears on. I remember lots of steam and smoke . All the passenger cars had people hanging out of the windows and doors. That was so exciting for a ten year old . My favorite shot was when the camera was between the rails. I thought the train was going to veer off to the left or right.

Nice to see the former KME fire truck plant that just closed, I was suppose to go there this summer but those plans changed, I hear R & N bought the property, now I can see why, since the tracks go right beside it! great video JP!
Awesome video. We saw the Big Boy last Summer! It was so cool as steam locomotives are special with their whistle and steam! Speaking of whistle that locomotive has a very haunting sound to it...and I love it! Would be cool as a Halloween 🎃 Ghost train 👻. These Iron Horses are a very beautiful part of our railroad history. @JPVideos it was pure luck while in Washington, Missouri. It had slipped my mind until we saw the crowd at the station. Unfortunately the UP will no longer allow the old Frisco steam to run due to liability coverage. That was the only operational equipment at our museum of transport besides a trolly car. The museum was a private owned facility for decades and the lack of financial support caused most of the equipment to deteriorate beyond repair. Still a nice collection of rail cars and now the county park system has control. As I'm sure you know lots of paint and anti rust material is constantly needed to protect these treasures that are out in the open. I hope to make it to Steam Town one day. 🙏

I seen #2102 before any of the public on 3/22/22 as I was a side crew, that helped get her ready. Last time public seen her in all her glory was almost 35 years ago in Jim Thorpe & do I have quite the selection of pictures from that day along with the "LEGEND" Family Friend: George Michener Hart, if you don't know who he is look him up on Google and have a Better Respect and understanding for any Railroad as he did. As George Hart saved more Railroads in the Northeast than any other person alive. If you ever wondered where all of Strasburg Railroad Locomotives located in Lancaster PA came from, they "were all Bought by Geoge Hart" and located to their location as they sit to this day. But not to get sidetracked It's Great having #2102 Her Back Running it is.

Each steam locomotive has it's own unique appeal to it and I'm with you. I still love the look of 425, but to see this shiny and new beast back on the rails was pretty incredible.

I really liked this whole video, but I think my favorite parts were the drone shots and the part where the train was at the station with the mountains behind it.
Just what I needed, a good pick-me-up, and it was done with a train almost 20 years older than me lol, heck, the last time I was on a train, I was in kindergarten, a very long time ago, on the Erie Lackawanna, from Deposit New York to Binghamton, what makes it so bad, is I can set my phone down and can't remember where it is, but as long as that one part tells me that I need to go pee, I'm still good 😊
This couple that lives in the same town that I do are going to restore if I remember right an engine and a few cars. I'm thinking they were part of the Ringling Brothers or one of the other circuses. That have come to the town I live in.

Not many people decide to spend a couple million to bring a locomotive back to life. 2022 is the year a T-1 locomotive returned to the rails.

There's usually 1 person who inadvertently steps in the shot. It's inevitable when hundreds of people are all waiting for the same shot.

It's a great location for r&n and some of the buildings will be maintenence/repair shops for their equipment.

Big boy is on my bucket list, so I'm envious you got to see her. This one is a beauty and yes, the whistle certainly gets everyone's attention.
