    hello sir
    According to my experience it is not possible to find blank size fo sheetmetal by surface flatting in solidworks. we can get surface area by flattening surface but whatever result we get is incorrect. in solidworks we have surface flattening tool it is only use for the getting actual size of sticker and cloths.

    This will be inaccurate when it comes to highly complex surfacing sheet metal because it Surface flatten in SW just meant for surfacing without taking K-factor into account. For Flatten highly complex sheet metal (i.e, auto industry) they use different tool.

      Nothing gives you 100 percent results. You have to consider some trail errors factors

      @@CIMDesignSolution But for blank size prediction purposes, this is not considered the proper method, especially when they actually need highly precise blanks to achieve the desired formed outcomes.
