I always purchase luxury makeup from Chanel, Dior, Chantecaille and Westman Atelier. I’m not a fan of glitter or super shiny eyeshadow or blush. I don’t typically use highlighters. I keep bronzing to a minimum unless it’s summertime. I really enjoy watching your videos, and the GRWM sessions are my favorite.

If you use a piece of scotch tape on a hard panned powder product, sometimes it can be fixed! It does work!
It does work! I keep scotch tape at my makeup desk for this purpose. ❤
What does that do anymore than swiping a sponge over it?
Yes, I did a video on this about a year ago - but it works best with a larger surface. I did try it on the Pastel palette and it just took half the shadow with it! On face powder, it works great tho!

I think the ND Retro Glam palette has a dupe for that Jones Road :) It might not look similar on the pan but on the lids they look similar. :)

I have 3 Dior pallets (Organza which I actually bought last year), Backstage Coral (it scared me at first, but love it) and Cool Neutrals which I also love. Love them all! After I got the coral, I found I was drawn to others with similar shades, like ABH Mini Glam to Go, even L’Oréal Paradise Peach is a good drugstore option in this family. In fact side by side looks like a bunch of dupes which I was like 🙄 but thankfully different on. Anyway, like you these are warm shades I can wear and would have never thunk it. I just wish I had diversified better. That Jones Road taupe-gray appeals to me.

That single Jones Road eyeshadow is amazing! This was a great review. My favorites this year were the Dior quints I bought and Chantecaille's Giraffe. I only bought one large palette this year and that was Byredo's Flora Kalahari and I love it. It didn't seem to be a hit for anyone else (ha!) but I find it truly special. I purposely didn't buy any Natasha Denona this year. I'm finding I didn't reach for her palettes this year for some reason. I'm excited for what's coming in 2023.
I'm also excited to see what's coming up this year. I feel like foundations did very well - but a lot of my eyeshadows were limited edition in Dior and Chanel, and they were fantastic. I wonder if this is a new trend - limited edition releases from those two houses.
@@TheHoodedLid Yes, 2022 really did feel like the year of foundations. It will be interesting to see if Dior and Chanel are leaning more towards limited editions. I don't mind that as a consumer, but I wonder if that will be frustrating to content creators who feel like they can't use them throughout the year.
You crack me up… if I had a life, I would wear it more. I know what you mean, ever since I started working from home, I feel silly wearing too much makeup for my sweats and kids pick up/drop off

I wish I would have purchased the Tweed palette in rose et brun. I seem to gravitate towards cooler tones lately.
Like you, I returned the My Dream Palette. The sales associate was shocked. The color story didn’t work for me. And as you pointed out, I cannot seem to blend the cream to powder formula despite repeated attempts.
Also agree with you on CT colors. I have stopped purchasing her eye shadows and lipsticks (exception for original pillow talk shade). Everything looks orange on me.
Love the Jones Road ash color. I reach for that quite often as a one and done or a transition shade

I happen to agree with you about CT eye quads. Too much pink. I see a lot of redundancy in her palettes. Very similar shades. Fire Rose was the one palette I hoped she would bring back. That was unique and different.I think her eyeshadows are the weakest product in her brand. I confess to being underwhelmed with Tom Ford quads. They seem to have almost a cult following, but I don’t think they live up to the high price point. Now that it uis being bought out by EL I agree that it does not bode well. I have heard negative feedback when EL takes over. I also agree with you about Patrick Ta. Not feeling it. I m happy with my eyeshadow collection. I have a good mix of high end and drugstore and in between. I don’t go out and get every new palette that comes along. I am more discerning. Thanks for this video of your review of your collection. Very interesting to hear your thoughts.
Will be very interesting to see what happens to Tom Ford now - Smashbox and Too Faced seemed to disappear once EL bought them.

That makes sense, some colors are hard to imagine and you really need to see in person to get a sense if they will work on your skin tone.
I got the Rituel De Fielle cream highlighter that you recommended and I love it.
It can be used on cheeks or eyes. I have ghost light.

Hi Susan - all the links are in the description box. Several where Limited Edition (which I've noted) and are no longer available. A few are limited edition and appear to be available to order. Just check the links. If there are no links - it's sold out
I also bought the Dior riviera. Thinking of getting Miss Dior before it’s gone. Would you think this good and opposite in color from riviera? I’m trying to create a capsule makeup kit for everyday “pretty” looks.
