Bought a pair of these ( in the UK they are Novopro PS1XL) yesterday and can’t wait to try them out. Interesting you commented about the Chauvet Wash FX as that’s what’s going on top of mine. Great video, as ever. Thanks for sharing.
I had a bit of problems with my pair. First one of the units waa uneven, one leg was shorter so the top plate slanted, finally after like 2 weeks had it replaced. The white scrims they sent me were stained, and it took about an additional 2 weeks if not more to get replaced.
That's one thing I really don't understand. They send the white skrims packaged with the black ones. I'm pretty sure that's how they get stained. Just takes a small amount of moisture in the air, and the black skrims can easily stain the white ones. I'm sorry to hear your experience wasn't as good with them as mine has been.
Nice presentation. I was thinking about getting some of these but like you said, they are a pain sometime. Buddy of mine has a different brand of this but are a twice the price. I'm still thinking about it though. If I do get these, I would probably leave them together as well. It definitely saves time during set up. By the way I just posted a couple of videos on my channel. Hi Milton, those are the Chauvet Freedom H1. I really like them for their versatility.
Bought 2 yesterday. Mine wobble a bit with moving heads on top. Is it a problem for you as well? I'm a bit scared they'll fall off
Do they look tall when fully extended?
Mine have a pretty nasty wobble .. what I doing wrong ?

I would recommend just using a couple of tripods with scrims and a top plate speaker adapter for moving heads
