I love this… “What is MY question?” From the depth of my being, from my body and not from outside of myself, not even a question my ancestors would ask me.

I could listen to David all day. It’s his speaking through his heart that does it.

" I could have told you Vincent, this world was never meant for one as beau-ti-ful as you." ( Don Mc Lean) Thank you for this heart-touching reflection, David.

"Let me live in a house by the side of the road and be a friend to man," with a kitchen, like David describes, open to those who may feel they don't belong. We find ourselves on this side of faith, a "consequence of love" we have for our son, Hal, and two daughters, Lulu and Maeby. Lulu and Maeby live with a rare genetic terminal illness. I wake at night with images of them running out of breath before me. The new wine of our grief was a bit more than the old bottles of our faith tradition could handle, I'm afraid. So, we sit, cupping in our hands the consequences of our love, pilgrims looking for a home for our grief. Perhaps helped by your words, David. Not, to contain our grief, but perhaps through them that our grief might be imbibed by any willing to sip from a bitter cup. Thank you for these words.

This is so intriguing and something I've never thought about but sure will now. I'm wondering, why does it have to be a question, why not, for example, a specific action that we are supposed to do here? Why is it the question that defines us? Maybe because a question is an invitation for something that's not yet become part of our awareness or consciousness. It needs a certain braveness and openness to really ask a profound question that one doesn't have an answer to, because you have to live with that answer. Asking this question then means saying yes to growth, yes to becoming more.
    Thank you 🙏

I have ASD,ADHD have a great sense of compassion, strong intuitiveness of others. As a child/teenager l would feel so heartbroken when l saw cruelity inflicted on another soul. Watching the world as an outsider you notice everything. ❤💜🌟✨️🙏 l remember l was young and l saw a gentleman that was homeless for the first time. I walked straight up to him and gave him all the money l had . As l walked back to the group of girl guides.. they laughed at me and said l was a weirdo.. l just turn away and focused on the gentleman.. worried where was he going to sleep tonight and why isnt anyone helping him.. my girl guide teacher came up to me, she said"l saw me give money to the man,Amanda you are so kind" she was talking more but all l was focussed on was the gentleman.. l remember my eyes started to well with tears..
Even in my adulthood l have paid for a gentlemans dinner, and my sister yelling at me saying you wasted a table on this.. l said "Sam he is a human being".. it boogles my mind people show no compassion, no love,no empathy..

‘Chastened Pilgrim Soul” is momentary… It comes and goes if one is not meditative. This is the reason why the call for “Second Birth” or “Born Again” as a child again, seeing the the world in constant magnificent of awe (Osho). 🙏🏼😊

Why? Why? Always "Why?"I know I belong. I believe in the Divine in every living being. What I am always left with is "why?" Why did Vincent's traumatic childhood shape his living and his art the way it did? Why was being heard and seen so central that he cut off and sent his ear in love?

Thank you David. Would the below definition work for an organisation looking into the horizon? Would it be true to your words?
A beautiful question is a foundational yet actionable inquiry that can shift how we perceive our place in the world. Others do not impose it; it belongs to us. It resides in the liminal space-between the strokes of our everyday pulse-where everything returns to be explored and repaired. A beautiful question holds the potential to unlock the gravitational paths that lead us to both inward and outward horizons. It is the mirror that gives us a glance at how we become whole.

@rasmusRask-v6w Due to the overwhelming demands on his schedule, David isn't able to respond personally, but you have offered a lovely, inviting and clear articulation here...

David recites a line in his poem slightly differently than how it is written onlie. Written it says, "I want to know if you feel you belong..."; reciting he says "I want you to know if you belong....
