The shock absorber is that 'bottle' in the front. Later models have the 'normal' gas fillled(?) shock absorbers next to the spring box. Be very careful to lower that fragile car, there was good reason to have that much space and long long spring space to move up and down. Imagine that car was made to 'drive' kind of off road. If the swinging arms will hit the rubber stopper up there the car can be hurt. So better let it jump all the way up and down as intended!
Not the camber but the caster, yes. In a 2cv the steering gets less effective the more load you put on a front wheel, because the caster angle changes significantly as the front swing arms rotate upwards. Lowering a 2cv to improve the stance a bit is fine but if you go too far with it, you basically spoil the steering response and you're also reducing the clearance you have to the bump stops (which isn't great because the springs will still behave as though they have a completely normal range of motion to play with).
Hi my name is hosein from iran I have .a question about suspension systems on this car Is that right that this car had height-adjustable suspension system like cars like citroen xantia,XM,xantia activa,or not? Thanks if someone here see the comment and help me
Excuse of asking the question again The car has height adjustable suspension But it works mechanically, right? And also is that right that Citroen mehari(the pickup model of citroen Dyane)and also dyane use disc brakes for four wheels and LHM oil ?
Thank you for your comment, car culture have mane different views and ideas, this is why people do experiments. I personally think that cars have to be lowered and have a stance look, over wise they would be all the same look.
Lovely car. I can’t wait to see the progress of your restoration!
This car is almost done, it will stay patina style, last small things left, wheels and suspension adjustments.

well presented, well filmed, well spoken, excellent!
Thanks
great stuff. just bought one 2cv6 and one 2cv4 . will be lowering :)
Do you not have problems with the camber angle of the front wheels?
Possible to adjust if necessary.

No, this is very simple but different suspension.
So ,by answering no
You mean that the car didn't have adjustable suspension systems, right??
@@Hosein617 No, it’s mechanical, not air suspension :)
Excuse of asking the question again
The car has height adjustable suspension
But it works mechanically,right?
And also is that right that Citroen mehari(the pickup model of citroen Dyane)and also dyane use disc brakes for four wheels and LHM oil ?
How do you raise
Same as lowering, just opposite :)
Why? That negates the entire value of the system , how you go trough a field with that? And will not improve cornering .
