    Hey dude I need some advice and I'd really love to have your input. I've been getting gigantic snook to eat freelining big live ladyfish, 12"-15". The problem I'm having is 9/10 times the hook doesn't set, and I pull the ladyfish back out after I let her eat and its it been completely inhaled. I use a 6/0 Mustad Ultrapoint Demon circle hook shallow through the lip with plenty of hook exposed. Any ideas to help me get a hook to stick?

    Eat a blue crab and your tail gets blue? Not sure why everyone thinks that. I doubt it’s true. Love to find out.

    • @justin_menendez
      @justin_menendez  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Its said that shrimp/crabs feed on blue-green algae and when reds eat shrimp/crabs the blue-green algae gets into their system and turns the tails blue. It's more common in smaller reds because their diet is different than the larger reds. Similar to the way a redfish caught on the beach is lighter in color to the ones caught in muddy waters.
