What an honor to have finally made it into FCF!
The first guy's guillotine squat rack set-up is a death trap.
Getting a proper forged steel squat rack with HEAVY safety/spotter arms (forged in Aucland, God Defend) is one of my favourite purchases ever.
100% worth it, the peace of mind has gotten me quite far.
I will never understand people that squat heavy outside of a rack or without spotter arms in case things go wrong. It's just ridiculous.
I don't love the safety there. Hope he's good at bailing out of a squat.
thanks for checking my bench i have switched to flats since that was filmed and that helped a ton i will try having my feet set further back and not moving them.
So much talk about squatting deeper, but even in competition a squat below parallel is rare

Dunno if it’s possible and I have absolutely nothing against sumo as a conventional puller, but I feel like federations should have a ROM minimum for deadlifts. Especially if the fed uses a noodle bar.
And make them different categories.
I just think they need to red light people who grip inside the start of the knurling on the smooth and make up an excuse in the rules like it’s a lifter safety hazard. that’s how all the zero rom lifts in the ipf happen with sumo, people just grip the smooth and hold the bar as far down into their fingertips as possible
edit: I’m pretty sure in some other federations there was a rule that you can be red lighted for squatting with the bar too low on your upper back
the kabuki bar has knurling even farther towards the center of the bar so it’s already over for all the federations that for some reason decided to adopt kabuki shit
Simply using a stiff bar is all you need. Even the most advantaged pullers still need to do a real lift on a stiff bar with calibrated plates.
