I'm going to try to explain the shipping thing to the best of my ability. Basically shipping is a big thing in the MCYT community as a whole but no ship could ever come close to rivaling to immense popularity of DNF or Dreamnotfound the ship between Dream and George. They were shipped pretty much immediately and embraced it completely, even going as far as to change their ship name from the one the fans were using, Gream to DNF as they hated saying it and would talk about it constantly but you could still avoid it if you tried back then. Then In mid 2020 a DNF fanfic called Heatwaves, based of the Glass Animals song, started to come out. This launched it from a semi-obscure inside joke to mainstream, with both of them reading it a referencing it. At this point it was impossible to be a fan of either of them without seeing DNF everywhere. Pretty much the entire Dream SMP would make jokes about it, with Wilbur actually thinking they were dating and Tommy not being able to get through one interaction with George or talk about either off them without bringing it up. Dream and George said that they were not dating but completely fine with shipping. Over time they got even weirder with it, taking "are you in love with your best friend?" quizzes live on stream, Dream bring fans into calls during discord podcasts and interrogating them on what they think about DNF and trying to get them to say "SNF is shit", auctioning their sexts for charity, flirting in the replies of every radom TikToker they could find. Dream made a fanart account on twitter where he likes and replies to fanart, a fair percentage being DNF and now days will just straight up casually like art of them making out on a normal basis. Dream held a fanfiction contest where he said no shipping unless if it's DNF and then chose a DNF fic as the winner, they have a DNF shrine in their fanart room, half of Dream's tweets are about DNF and most of George's are, Dream went on a Twitter rampage where he declared himself the 1# toxic DNF shipper, a title he holds proudly to this day. Their relationship has obviously changed in some capacity but we won't know anything until George gets his visa so he can move in with Dream and Sapnap. All we know is that it is very hard to be a Dream Team fan is you don't at least tolerate DNF as they mention it almost every stream. Dnf is so dominant that there has never really been a rival ship. There's SNF which is a joke that Sapnap and George do sometimes to annoy Dream but few people actually ship it. Sapnap is shipped with Karl although a little less sincerely Dnf. Karlnap is still really big and they play into it a lot but that's just how they are, Karl has apparently kissed George and Foolish and has flirted with almost every friend he's ever had, just Sapnap more then anyone. Karlnap are also sometimes shipped with Quackity as all three of them were engaged in the Dream SMP. Sorry for the long comment this is just a huge part of MCYT that you should understand to get a lot of references and context. I'm leaving out a lot but his could take forever.
