This is exactly what we have been looking for. And I have felt so dumb at my son's(9 yrs old) violin lessons. His teacher would ask me questions and I felt like an airhead.
Now I can understand where the notes are, finally!!! I used to be like “How could people know where each note locates?”. Now I know. So grateful and I can’t thank you enough!
THIS is all I have wanted since I picked up the violin over a month ago!!! You see, I learn instruments by ear and I have difficulties reading a music sheet and not "hearing" music to study. I hope that I am explaining this correctly; its often hard to describe.I have to take the music in tiny bits as you are teaching! Thank you so much! I can now draw a diagram, like yours, and hear the notes. 😀

Can't believe how much I've forgotten since school. Played in orchestra and everything, and now struggle to play a scale. Infact I'm using violin from school, rosin's dried up abit. Great video, very helpful.

this is way confusing... your explanation and then putting up sign with notes and then using violin its completely confusing your explanation is way to fast sorry to say especially for this newby... you are going way to fast to explain a lot in this video. im gonna find a different tutorial so disappointed...
