- It's pistols at dawn as the McQueen's and the Dean's have a slanging match in the middle of the street. But John Paul and Craig sneak off whilst no-one is looking to talk things over.
The following day, Craig and John Paul make a massive decision about their future together.

I love these scenes so much: the Mexican standoff in the street, complete with other villagers whisking their children out of the way; the dialogue ("My brother's gayer than yours") and especially the boys opening up to their families, intercutting so cleverly between the two scenes with overlapping dialogue and lines like "It's not about being gay. It's about who you fall in love with," and "There's only ever been John Paul". Just gorgeous stuff. So glad I discovered John Paul and Craig's story at the start of the year - I became utterly obsessed with watching every available clip I could, so thank you @kimbaforever for allowing this happy Australian to catch up on everything some 15 years later!

I've been miserable, staying up late at night, watching one part after another, I'm out of cigaretts, the coffee is cold, and I'm hungry, and I stink, got to shower, then next episode. So glad they are together, wonder how long this will last, got to go back to work tomorrow.

wow what a "showdown" I was just waiting for them to pull out a gun at any moment, and when that woman took her child and ran and the look in JP and Craig's eyes that really took the cake I WAS YELLING OMG GUN FIGHT IS ON. Then got disappointed when it didn't happen and relieved at the same time I didn't want JP to get shot or Craig even though he deserves it for everything he put JP through.

I think they switch. I think Craig started being the bottom around their third shag...when he confessed JP he loved him for the first time. And then...the next scene shows him hugging JP...with his head rested on JP´s chest. So cute !
Craig was an aggressive bottom from the start. That explains his extreme behavior when they were done and his treatment of Sarah the next day. Plus the way he treated JP during the next couple of scenes. You have to remember they grew up in this little village. Once Craig spent year in a city of half a million people where what you doesn't matter all that much. He realized he could get J P back and not be ashamed of the gay love thing.
Finally the BS stops.

yes but being "not-straight" and being gay are two different things. Clearly he's not straight because he is in love with John Paul, but overall he's still more attracted to women, so technically he's not gay either. Although he did admit that he could barely stand to touch his girlfriend (later), he said it was because he was still in love with John Paul, not because he was gay.
