I liked this "impressions" video - a bit more stripped down than your usual videos but still enough content to be entertaining and informative! I can't wait for this game to come out!
Have you played the Stellar Blade demo? What are your thoughts?
I actually really enjoy my time with the demo. At first I wasn't really feeling the combat because I usually dont enjoy Souls style games, Infact I actually hate them however with Blade the game feels like a somewhat perfect blend of Nier Automata and Samurai Maiden and I was enjoy the combat more and more plus the Ost slaps way too hard, its like a mixture of Nier, Zone of the Enders and Ghost in the shell 😁
Right??? Not what I was expecting but wow am I excited for the full release!
Adam, did you try the boss battle/challenge?
I just focused on the “campaign” of the demo so far and spent maybe 5 minutes in the boss challenge. What about you?
@adamscottgames I did. Idk how much you explored into the settings, but you unlock more suits, and you gain access to the firearm that was present in the reel. Press L2 to aim, R2 to fire. I experimentedshort & long range. There's also a cool down period. I didn't see anyone on TH-cam covering this.
@Wintersoldier73 OK I'll definitely have to give it more time - sounds really cool thanks!
The issue I have with this game is that it looks so generic, the characters look boring. It will be good for a perv and a playthrough but I'm not expecting a great story or character depth...prove me wrong.
I tend to prioritize gameplay, which appears to be pretty solid, but we should know for sure in a few weeks
What dark souls is there? Seriously though. The only thing is parry but so does god of war and many other games have that... You don't lose anything when you die either. So please explain the Souls part?
Punishing combat - a bit faster than dark souls but with un-cancelable animation (a staple of Soulslikes), campsites (bonfires) that respawn enemies and acts as a respawn for Eve, the twisting level design that opens up new shortcuts as you progress. Now, while we assume you don’t lose XP upon death, we don’t know for sure since this was just a demo - but I’ll assume that’s not how this will work. So aside from that one aspect, Stellar Blade shares a lot with the Soulslike genre.
@@adamscottgamesAlso I have heard some people say reviving enemies after resting is annoying, mostly from people not used to souls games but they don't know that it's in our favor as we can grind that way when we get stuck at some boss
Thanks for watching! Are you excited for Stellar Blade?
