Putting alienated people in charge and giving them responsibility gives them a sense of belonging and a role to play in this world.
Also becoming advocates helps people out of alienation.
This is the simple solution/prevention to drug abuse, gangs, terrorism, video games,... need not spend thousands for mental health awareness or walkathons. Save the things that give humans a sense of belonging.
