Man, it’s so cold outside today. I pressed my starter at least 15 or 20 times. I’m scared I’m gonna break my starter. There has to be a better way and cold start in the motorcycles. I hope tomorrow it starts fine no problem because today was scary.
I know this is ridiculous, might even cause damage but dammit you learn something everyday. Don't know how this never dawned on me and a pinch to combine the two things that I already do
I'm going to give this a try, but I don't think it will work on my carbureted motorcycle. It has a fuel valve with a diaphram that is normally off, but it is opened by vacuum pressure from the carburetors when the engine is cranked or running. When you open the throttle to prime the carburetors, is the extra fuel coming from the reservoir in the carburetor float bowls? I am also thinking of temporarily removing the vacuum line and spraying starter fluid into the carburetors.
I forgot to use the choke on my new motorcycle and pressed the start knob like 30 times without being able to start the engine does this hurt my battery? I remembered the choke and used it the next day and it started right away but im worried that i messed up my battery.
nah man thats the batteries job, as soon as the bike started everything is powered by the engine the battery is only there for starting, so you should be good
On my motorcycle, the limiting factor is the oil. The user manual for my Ninja 500 says that it can operate down to about 15 degrees Fahrenheit with the recommended 10W-40 oil. I have a lithium iron phosphate battery, and I store it in the house overnight when the temperature gets down to freezing.
@@ninjarider2941 yeah but that's still isn't no matter how cold. - 15 degrees is it no matter how cold. When I rode in Russia it was much colder than that and I had no end of problems with oil and feel freezing in fact it was one of the most problematic places I've ever been to. You can't ride no matter how cold not unless you have an engine block heater dumb ways of stopping all your liquids and turning solid
You just saved me from not riding today! Appreciate it my man!

It’ll just drain it dead maybe trying to start uses a lot of battery

@@lilGyros thanks it looks like everything is good :) no issues so far.
@@Zim-ks6pb nice
It's called an accelerator pump, not a primer
cool
Ur gonna flood tf out of your carb by doing that
Stupid title can't be no matter how cold because at some point batteries and fuels freeze
Stupid comment because obviously he means absolute zero.
Chill
