It takes a lot of practice. I spent 3 days trying to beat Okita that by the time I got to this I was mentally exhausted and thought, "Screw it I'll do this on hard just to try and get the CP." After so many battles with the last asshole I guess it made me better because I then proceeded to get over 7k points. The sheer joy of getting that difficulty done and beating Media King on the first try was hugely satisfying. Something I'll never manage to do again in future play throughs.
Just did this and yeah, the flashing lights and the clear grid doesn't help much, couple times I'm sure I pressed it right and it goes wrong. Also the challenge has some stupid RNG, unlike say a fix score of 5mil with that race game, the score here is random some times he does perfect or near and some times crap. So even if you did your best, he could still beat you.
This minigame was made from hell. Its so ducking frustrating. I played it for like 2h and got max 6800 and he gets over 7000 almost every time. By the time i gave up i forgot i had 2 assigments due today.
I swear the ai gotta be self learning just to screw me over. There’s times he’s barely beat me and then others where I literally get better but the ai still will keep scoring higher and higher each time I face it. I played easy and he only got around 4400 points and I was only barely beat, then in later attempts this mf is hitting over 7000? I thought oh well it could be like the one woman you gotta beat with majima but the same thing happened in normal difficulty too and I tired hard which seems to make It fumble more but at the end he will hit all the spam notes without a miss so I think at this point I might as well afk farm money and upgrade my businesses back up instead of dealing with this bullshittery
Must of either beat him on easy or got lucky. That is unless getting a score of over 6700 is easy for you on that song on normal then I guess it was easy. He is literally on the same level as Ogita. I got a score of 6300 multiple times and still lost. Just kept retrying until he finally got a score of 5900.
@@Demom_King_Azura-alt His score isn't consistent so he might hit something super high 1 time and another time hit something on the lower end. So in that sense it is luck if you're not skilled enough to beat his top score. But no it is not easy for a person who hasn't practiced the mini game a significant amount to beat him.
This disco battle was probably one of the hardest ones for me, I think really it just comes down to: 1)being at least decent at the disco minigame. 2)hope to god he fucks up alot and, 3)hit the dance fever before he does (at least I think thats what you have to do anyways, if I'm not wrong it will stop him from using his.) basically you have to be quite decent and lucky enough to beat him.
I don't think it stops it it just the screen is full with your fever while his is still going in the background(just think of him viewing the screen the same way as you do if he did his fever)
After I finish this, the song that plays is gonna give me PTSD Edit: I finished and I was correct, I never want to hear that song ever again. It took me a good hour to defeat him on normal.
Thank you so much, dude. I spent about 2 hours trying to beat him, every time I was lacking just a few hundred points. But your video helped me immensly, since the trick with interrupting his fever with yours does wonders (although for some reason first time I tried it, he still got the points)
Failed on this and Electronic King OutRun Challenge. Hard as hell, it makes no sense, better grinding on properties than these awful minigames. You can reach 100% smoothly even without breaking your pad against the wall
I beat the OutRun mini game. Its a matter of practice, remember to let go of the gas during turns and accelerate out of them when you clear them. Also, let go of the gas if cars are too close, negotiate your way through them and then accelerate past them. Just don’t crash.
Losing the 10% is pain because it’s boring to wait for the properties to collect money just so you can watch the investment bar slightly rise every time.
An even bigger pain is trying to do this minigame time and time again, just wrecking your nerves. Respect yourself, lose the 10% and move on. Trying to beat the disco minigame is a bigger pain than grinding through the property investments.
If anyone’s still struggling this I recommend putting it on head difficulty. You get more squares witch means you get more dance fevers. I would go for long combos instead of high steps but once you get enough practice in try and go for both
@@konjiki8203 The time you'd waste on trying to beat this minigame could be invested into just investing into properties and you will still end up owning 100% of it in the end. Seriously, it's not even worth your nerves, just eat the 10% and move on.
This sub story along with ms. Isobe is crushing. I won by luck on both accounts. Definitely rigged for you to keep grinding, but unless you're happy to get frustrated might as well take both L's.
This minigame sucks at first, until you "get" what rythm the game wants you to follow for each song, and that you should prioritize combo over steps. Then, even hard mode is pretty forgiving, because the game mostly punishes you for pressing the button too EARLY, rather than too late. I actually found myself having fun with it after the "pressure" of having to score three stars at least once was gone. Except "Queen of Passion", that one is still hell for me and I only got lucky with a three star once.
Gotta get those combos but it's still really random what score the opponent gets. I had a higher score in a previous attempt and still lost. I think it's a case of keeping a simple combo going and then doing the QTE. At least it's optional, thank fuck

For those who are struggling with disco, the best thing to do is sadly to train, but try and pick a song that's easy on your ears (mine being koi no disco queen) and jam it out
No, the easiest thing to do is take the L, then grind a bunch of levels on your own and eventually get to 90%, which you can do anyway. Literally easier and saves you the time.
Danny Mensah The timing of the button presses didn't seem to make sense at first, but you get used to it. Kiryu can go to the club outside of this mission to practice and opens up a substory. So can Majima and you get a gold hostess out of it. Pay attention to the rhythm of the song. You can actually put it on easy, I think.
im very bad at disco, something about all the colors and rhythm of it all fucks me up eventually. Like my eyes cant keep up with all the shapes of the circles closing. I struggle doing disco even on easy whereas karaoke minigame is pretty easy for me. Guess I'm bad at multitasking the part of keeping rhythm while trying to figure out the least steps to get to the next circle on time or something. Skill issue I know..
I just let him have his 10%, it's not worth frustrating myself with RNG in this game. Fucking media king scored over 7000, I'm out. I had to try Ogita a lot of times waiting for him to mess up, and in this case you can get back the 10% anyway. I got 10 bil from completing Majima's cabaret club and used it to buy out the rest of media king's properties. Eat shit, media king.

If you can 3 star a hard stage, seems to be way easier to beat him on hard than in normal mode. Atleat I tried 5 times on normal and lost by like 5k vs 6k points and in hard my previous score was 7,2k and against him I got 7,3k and the media king got only 7k. Maybe I got lucky and he scored low that time but try it out if you're here looking for tips (I even lost my last fever and thought I'd lose becuase of that as I pressed the fevet button like 0.5s too late to the song.)

i actually beat him the first time. The trick is to avoid doing combos (except you're a pro at rhythm games). Just make sure you hit the right buttom and DO NOT fuck up the fever combo. Learned from losing countless times to the dancer from Osaka minigame
This minigame shows how imperfect Xbox 360's dpad is. Having all arrows on the same plate without any bounadries between them leads to unintentional button presses which is fine for what xbox conroller ment for - shooters. But absolutely unacceptible for timed puzzles.

Easy and Normal seem to be the same difficulty for this battle, but yes, you can beat him on easy/normal. Actually, unless you're the God of Disco, or Miracle Johnson, avoid trying to beat him on hard, 'cause on hard He. Is. In-sane. I beat Isolde and Ogita easily, but the Disco King destroys me on hard. Score 8,500? Good for you! Cause he probably scored 9,500. He demands your A game like no other disco opponents, so you want to choose easy/normal.
The most annoying boss fight of all time, I love this game with a passion but the real estate royal is possibly the worst thing they could come up with including this mini game.
Worst song in the worst minigame is all of yakuza 0... I hated it and lost every time the game made me play it. All the other disco songs are at least *somewhat* possible to do full combo on, but this one... I swear the buttons don't actually line up with the song

The trick is go for “easy “ and take the max amount of steps you can,because the IA almost never misses a note so you have to “outstep” them

Actually, unless you're the God of Disco, or Miracle Johnson, avoid trying to beat him on hard, 'cause on hard He. Is. In-sane. I beat Isolde and Ogita easily, but the Disco King destroys me on hard. Score 8,500? Good for you! Cause he probably scored 9,500. He demands your A game like no other disco opponents, so you want to choose easy/normal.
On easy he got 6350 points, and on normal he secured 5645 points, i guess after praying enough to Rngesus i barely won with 5912 points

Worst song in the worst minigame is all of yakuza 0... I hated it and lost every time the game made me play it. All the other disco songs are at least *somewhat* possible to do full combo on, but this one... I swear the buttons don't actually line up with the song
