Thanks for the tips! I've just used what the school has on hand, but always had a suspicion that it would be easier to use the solid salts. The acid dip is a fantastic idea to clean in-between uses. Barium never seems to come up green/yellow for me so perhaps there's some contamination going on. Thanks again for sharing!
That's not a bad idea, I might try that next time :) There's always a risk of the matchwood or cotton bud catching fire and affecting the colour, so I think the best results come from using a metal spatula with the powder instead.
love that they give examples in what the compounds are used in
I did this at school for bonfire night and it was the funnest thing ever!
This channel is awesome, thanks for great quality in information and presentation👍
Thank you

Can you soak these metals onto a candle wick overnight and then make candles and have the candle flame burn these colours!?
Wow
Thanks
nice
Try Denarora Flame Color Changing Packets to get a colorful fire🌈🔥
Thanks for information ☺️
why do you need chloride in each element?
Edi wow
why barium chloride is not green?
Gee golly!
温度需要达到2500 摄氏度以上,才能燃烧出真实的色彩,用铝热反应试试😅😅😅
What would be the control variable in this experiment?
yes
factors that remain the same throughout the experiment
Solid salts work best; you can dip platinum/nichrome wire in acid then to solid salt and burn it. Also, isnt barium supposed to be green?

Barium salts gives a light green colour to the flame. Solid salts taken on a tiny loop of metal wire will give best result
Barium gives us a pale green or light green color and not " a very orange yellow "
I noticed this too. Barium should be green.
A fun fact I learned today is, fireworks are made out of hot embers of metals.
u should have used cotton buds instead
for detailed vision

Uranium 😁
no lithium ?? :(((( its so perrtyyyyy
Go thru all that to demo the colors...
And use *wood*... 🙄
Some of the colors are really wrong 🤣
