The First time I seen Tony Todd was in the Movie Enemy Territory he was the leader of a gang called The Vampires. Classic movie with Ray Parker Jr. Great Interview
RIP Tony Todd ⚰️😢 he will be missed. he was great in Candyman, the rock, the crow, sushi girl, final destination, and the night of the living dead reamake from 1990.
Seems like a great guy. The original film scarred me as a child, and for as much as it remains a cult classic for horror fans, I think in some ways it is still underrated. I enjoyed the new one overall but felt the last act was way too sloppily edited / moved too quickly, almost like it was reshot last second, and I kinda wish there was more of Tony Todd in it... But the first hour is brilliant, creepy and unnerving just like the original. I thought the concept of the Candyman legend expanding to basically become an urban legend used to encompass stories of unjustly killed black men over many generations was particularly brilliant, and a great way of updating the mythology and keeping it socially vital. I just wish the ending hadn't fallen off so rapidly. I bet there's a directors cut with a half hour or more of deleted scenes as there were so many open ends/character arcs that went unresolved.
He said the new Candyman has a “feministic approach” to it...hmm what if the previews were trying to trick you and Anthony McCoy’s girlfriend actually ends up turning into Candywoman?
Wtf is going to scare the shit out of ppl like tony that’s like saying no one couldn’t top Robert Englund as Freddy Krueger even when they went along with that piece of shit remake THE ORIGINAL CAN NEVER BE FUCKED WITH

EXCELLENT REVIEW and I agree as per your thoughts about the final act.
Tony was also admiral Briggs in call of duty black ops 2!
I discovered this man when he played Worfs brother Kurn.
Same, amazing performance as adult Jake Sisko too.

The original Candyman is a masterpiece, the sequels sadly were trash. Hoping the new one is good, and without being PC, which is ruining movies.
