It's been too dangerous to leave the house here Elaine, I will check my allotment Monday evening. Preparation is key to any storm and there are plenty of them these days. 🍂🍁Happy gardening, Terry King.
Elaine what a horrible day today, hopefully no damage at your plot, best to be inside with a cuppa , well done for braving the weather and showing us …👍👍
@GanggangPeanut Hi Mark. I had been keeping a close eye on the weather forecast so I was trying to think what could fly off, like our bbq cover. Got that pinned down before it started. It was wild in the greenhouse. You could see the whole side being pushed by the wind. The dogs wanted none of it lol. I got soaked lol. Dont worry, I won't shrink in the wash lol. The things I do to entertain 😉😂🤣🌧🌧🌧🌧🌧🌧 Stay safe 🎅🎄
@nickthegardener.1120 Hi Nick. That's Yorkshire Terriers for you. I can't get them to go out into the garden when it rains lol. Its prudent to check the plot. We had a roof panel blow out last night, which has now been replaced. Have fun on the plot 👍🎄🎅
Glad everyone and everything is ok. Dogs aren’t stupid only gardeners and that daft 😂. I’m late watching everything because Gerald and I were fixing the new side wall on the poly. Keep safe and don’t fly away like Dorothy 🤦♀️, but seriously stay safe, Ali 🥶🇨🇦
Hi Ali. You're right about dogs and owners lol. Things have quietened down. Minor damage on the plot but everything wet and muddy. You gotta do what you gotta do as they say. Plenty of time later to catch up in the gardening world. Richard worked through that last night so I was glad he came home safely. Good job the dogs went out early yesterday or they would have been whisked away with the wind. Stay warm 🎅👍🎄⛄️🫖
Your brave elaine 👏 I use a bungee cord to keep my greenhouse door locked to stop it sliding open and that's worked well so far through all the storms we have had ❤
@traceysallotmentNcooking It's good to check on affairs before, during and after a storm. I was amazed, how strong those gusts were. Have fun tomorrow xx
