Mack should have been gone after last year. This is at least the third year that the team has not been playing well in the second half. That falls on the coaching staff for either not recruiting and/or coaching good enough.
Everybody is complaining about Mack and they have some valid points but come on, this is UNC Football we're talking about. Just look at the facts. I've pulled for Carolina since the 60's and it just is what it is. Late 60's and early 70's under Bill Dooley they had Bunting and others on Defense and Don McCauley running the ball. Late 70's early 80's under Dooley and Crumb they had LT and Famous Amos and Rod Elkins. Through most of the 90's under Mack 1.0 they had great teams ,IMO, with Stanicek, Fenner, Keldorf, and a couple of Johnsons especially Leon and quite a few NFL caliber defensive players, Ellis and Bly to name a couple. Between Mack 1.0 and 2.0 they've had 5 coaches and a few guys that could play on Sundays, but not a lot of them. Mack came back and boosted recruiting and brought some much needed excitement and energy to the program. Is he the greatest coach, no, and I don't know who would be at Carolina. We've always been just mediocre when it comes to football. The decade of the 1960's produced a 41-60 record under 2 head coaches and the best record was a 9 - 2 season The 1970's saw them go 72-42-3 with 2 coaches and a best record of 11 - 1 1980's they went 61-52-2 under 2 coaches and a best record of 11 - 1 1990's they were 78-39 under 2 coaches, best record 11 - 1 2000's they went 53-68 had 3 coaches with a best record of 8 - 5 2010's they went 67-60 had 4 coaches with best record of 11 - 3 So far in this decade under Mack 2.0 they are 31-21 with a best record of 9 - 5 It's Carolina football, just enjoy the couple of good years every decade when they come.
It will, people at the top gotta realize football is the money maker for all of the sports programs. When they do it'll pick up. UNC is a top 20 University, no excuse for not being competitive in football.
I don't understand how the defense keeps playing the same year after year under different coordinators. You would think one defensive coordinator that Mack Brown has had would be able to hit the target.

Man I tell ya the mack brown haters are loving the last 2 weeks. Don't count him out quite yet. Go heels.
Give Mack a raise, his wife likes living in Capel Hill and I love watching UNC lose
Bring in either 1. Jamey Chadwell, 2. Kliff Kingsbury, 3. Todd Monken, 4. Urban Meyer
Can’t win football at unc with any coach
@@thelarson1000 not true, new coach with money and support behind them they will win. They been having top 20 recruiting classes, it's the coaching.

Mack Brown is the common denominator.
No fight, no will, no heart!
UNC can’t wait to leave the ACC for a football conference 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Where you think they end up?
Boo. And meh. You guys are trying to conjure up a reality. We lost our #1 QB and our #1 defensive player. We’ll be fine.
