I loved those two so much and I'm so sad about the ending. I had Olivia's songs one my head for the past few days and I immediatly tought about Favorite Crime. This song perfectly fit the story of Simon and Wilhelm.

Well happy endings are boring...and first season had to end on the cliffhanger + this ending was more realistic since being gay and crown prince is not that acceptable even in modern european monarchies

i’ve never seen a queer relationship portrayed in such a beautiful, fluid and natural way. The way their sexualities don’t label or define them is something not often seen in shows. Just pure love and innocence

i think what draws me to this couple is their genuine love for each other. i love that the show focused on their growth and falling into something together naturally. they didnt bring attention to the fact that their gay but just let them fall in love. it was beautiful the way they instantly became attracted to each other’s auras. they bonded so quickly and it was so beautiful to see them silently hold hands and look at each other. they fell in love in such a gorgeous and loving way, trusting each other and being there for each other. the worst thing is, i know Erik would have been so supportive of his brother Wilhelm. he would’ve told him to be himself and listen to his heart, just like August said. it was heartbreaking to see Wilhelm cry and know that he was going to have to be apart from Simon for a bit. he didn’t want to be away from Simon, because Simon became his happiness and his safety place. the place where he could be himself and not worry.
the scene that broke me the most was when they were sitting together in the change room, and you can see that they really care about each other so much. and then simon says, “we did nothing wrong.” and it’s so beautiful because they truly are trying to convey to each other their feelings, before anyone assumes anything about the other.
when Wilhelm hugged Simon when they were saying goodbye, you could see everyone staring at them, almost shocked that they were actually hugging after the video was seen. even simon looks a bit confused himself, because he wasn’t used to touching and hugging wilhelm in public- but that was wilhelms way of saying he hasn’t given up- and he’s not afraid for the future.

binged watched this show and it was so worth it.
you guys have NO IDEA how proud I am to be swedish after this show. seeing the different backgrounds between the characters and then them together is just perfect. And I think it’s important to show that Wilhelm is actually struggling with a bit of internal homophobia since his kids is the future. But that in the end doesn’t matter because he is in love with Simon. we all know that there is no fucking way that they will just forget about each other. the actors are people I’ve known through other Swedish shows and music since 2017 and them being here doing THIS is a proud moment for me. all the love from Sweden
I understand you and I relate. My mum is from England and my Da is Swedish, Norwegian, and Friese (don't know the exact percentage) and I live in the US. I've been bullied my whole life because I speak Swedish and learned the "wrong" kind of English. I was ashamed of my heritage, that was until I found this show. I've now embraced who I am and I even speak in Swedish at school now and I'm teaching my friends. I will forever love Young Royals.

Let me just say this because this series really made me comment on youtube. I just finished in some hours yesterday this series and those hours were the best. I went from crying because I was angry at some characters to crying of happiness while seeinh Wilhelm and Simon being such cuties. The acting is amazing and the fact that the actors look like teenagers, aren't perfect models but still beautiful people, they nailed it with the acting in every scene. I was suspicious because I haven't listened to swedish before so I wasn't sure if I'm gonna like it but it sounds so much like german so I became familiar very soon. Another amazing thing is that the relationship between Simon and Wilhem is healthy, yea, not perfect, but really healthy and they are absolutely made for each other. Another amazing character that made me watch the show even more was Felice! Yea, a popular girl who isn't a bully, isn't blonde with blue or green eyes and has worries. She honestly made me smile everytime, unlike Sara....This show had more needed topic in 6 episodes than some series have in 6 seasons. If we ain't gonna get a season 2 then I'm gonna have to go and see the show for myself in their country. I need to see Simon and Wilhelm start a revolution in season 2, communicate with each other even more, see Simon's mom which I adore, Felice and hope she gets the best and see what's gonna happen with Sara and August. Great edit, btw! It made me cry ❤

Really watched literally all edits again after 2 day AND I JUST CANT GET OVER THIS. I'm broken forever. THE END. I mean "I lovey you", "I wish you have a great christmas", like a knive in his fucking heart. I absolutely understand why Simon acts like that. I do. I wouldn't want to be with someone just as a secret neither.
