The clusters dry out because they run out of nutrients in the area. Like a plant, it needs moisture and nutrients to grow. It doesn't decompose by breaking down into liquids via bacteria like we do, it dries out.😁👍
They've made some really good changes whilst staying faithful to the game. The stair scene doesn't lead to the museum, as that came later but in the same level but you do encounter clickers. You actually end up in an office building. Tess didn't blow herself up in the game. She was shot by the military. Honestly, the show made more sense. The military want to keep Boston safe but why would they patrol a location miles away, especially when the city is walled? Also, the fungus doesn't communicate like that in game and it's way scarier. In the game, it's spores.
Maybe they were searching for more Fireflies? In the game they thought Joel and Ellie were. I am liking the differences more than I thought I would. And the whole fungus alerting all the infected is so much scarier than I thought it would be rather than stupid. Really emphasises how the Cordyceps fungus is actually an intelligent and living entity that has taken control of everyone. I just hope they don't do the second game.
The show is so freaking good rn but I'm sure they must be saving the whole idea of the spores for later eps when it has more to do than just not breathing it in so far really impressed by everything and really happy the show is taking this time to make us feel like we are reliving the actual game even with the changes
In the game, when the Clickers spot you and without a way to defend yourself, it's a guaranteed instakill. You can try to fistfight them, but it also ends up in an instakill. Nothing short of a shotgun round, incendiary bullets, or explosives will affect them that much (or wasting 4 or 5 bullets to the head). We can instakill them with a shiv or a single melee headshot but it requires stealth. Lots of stealth. One is scary enough. The game sometimes drops like four in a single area, making you do the whole section as silently as possible.
Well, if you hit then with 3 bullets to the head, they should be dead but if you miss and they are too close, you are the one who ends up dead lol. They are extremely fast too so
Bro was onto something with that “she’s the light in the darkness” metaphor. Like yeah in the context of the scene it’s clear they’re just having her in the light so they can monitor her but in terms of like a directing purpose that’s a good way to look at it
Napalm I am pretty sure was outlawed by the Geneva convention after the Vietnam war....As for Looting, Joel is 100% in shock because the woman he's been with for probably at least 5 years is about to either die in fire or turn into a monster. Looting isn't in the front of his mind. And Ellie is stuck with the guy who seems like he would rather shoot her than bring her to where she needs to be so...not really a priority with less than a minute til the infected get there.
I think the Geneva Convention went out the window the moment the apocalypse began, perhaps they didn't want to set off major infernos like the Dresden bombing did, which would be perhaps counterproductive after they realized the "War against the Fungus" was lost and containment, isolation and quarantine was the only thing left to do. Or it was more localized bombing, at the outskirts, perhaps that part of Boston was spared the worst. If going scorched Earth was the idea, detonating "small" yield tactical nukes would be more effective. But after a point they probably accepted the fungus was there to stay, and destroying infraestructure and supplies was a bad idea, so they switched to survival mode and hiding behind the walls of the QZs. Still, the question was insightful, they're infected, not dead, they can be killed, bombs might be too localized, simply using napalm or white phosphorous seems like a more effective "pest control" and it would burn for a while. No way anyone respects international law after the World begins falling apart. But there are ways to justify reasonably why they chose not to be as agressive in Boston.
I think it has more to do w/ the fact that they wanted to be slow the spread not actually wipe everyone out. Fun fact use of napalm is allowed if it's use could save civilian lives and also its illegality internationally is complicated but not entirely a no. Thank you Wikipedia I'm sure I'm now on a list somewhere
From what it looks like, the infected have a "lifetime" that once the fungus has finished consuming its host it dies off and dries up. Like the guy underground in the first episode. If for some reason the host sustains the fungus for longer it can last long enough to become these other variants. But if they just sit around they could die off. Could be environment conditions, but seems its nothing super defined.
As a super last of us fan I have to say my hats off for the special effects team they totally nailed it to the core with the detail. This episode was just as great as the first episode I am still super impressed with the series so far.

The UN banned napalm, flamethrowers, and other incendiary weapons in 1980. The USA stated they would observe the ban, but reserved the right to violate it if needs dictated their use. In 2009, President Obama signed the UN ban and the US military disposed all their remaining inventory of napalm. However, the US has developed and still uses thermobaric fuel-air explosives, which were not covered under the UN ban and are more effective on soft targets (humans) than napalm.
That airstrike convo, I think I'd rather get infected than Napalm'd or White Phosphorous'd to death. That's a terrible way to die, especially the white phosphorous.
So I’m open to debate. This is an amazing adaptation so far, and what the show has done so far is above and beyond what I could have asked for. With all that, im a bigger sucker for how Tess went out in the game. In the game, there is a sense of her pleading with Joel: “There must be enough here that you should feel at least some obligation to me so you get her to Tommy’s!” “I WILL NOT TURN INTO ONE OF THOSE THINGS” “I was bitten an hour ago and it’s already worse THIS IS FUCKING REAL JOEL”. Then after all that that she has a brief moment where she lowers the though outer shell… Joel and Ellie have fled.. and she is alone. Her face falls, she seems to turn solem, sad, she sighs.. seems to think… then rolls her eyes and puts the exterior back up. She turns around to face FEDRA and goes out in a way she wants, fighting. In the show, she is scared and frantic, which I WOULD BE TOO, but she in a way submits? Now of course there could be a brutal situation where she is torn apart, but I feel like we saw less of who she was. It was still gut wrenching and brutal. But I wasn’t that taken by the kiss before she dies. Anyways love the show and can’t wait for more! Wish the episodes were longer and came sooner!
I personally believe we saw way more of who Tess was throughout the first episodes. The end was different but imo a bit more realistic. She glides past the emotion to get to the point, which if you only had minutes to live and had a purpose, you would do. The end with the infected that recognized her as one of their own and welcomed (not kissed) her into their network was terrifyingly beautiful. This gives everything important about Tess. Fed up with this world, absolutely done with it, but still thinks Ellie can make it better. She just has to convince her lover that its worth it to continue
I think she done it better in the game and i feel they made her less of a badass in the show. I prefered her words in the game but i prefer her death in the show
There was definitely more range of emotion portrayed in the game. She goes out fighting in this too, but in a more subtle way (even if it's more explosive). Instead of fighting outward, her fight is inward, against the fungi which is altering her behavior already, to accept joining into the fold. Yet, even in the arm that was twitching involuntarily, she fights to save who she can save.
Im fine with either way, my only problem is actually Pedro as Joel. He’s really pulling off the stoic thing, but I miss Joel’s southern charm. His little whispering plea with God when Sarah died or the way he says “oh Christ” when he sees the bite. Little quirks like that.
@@samsungsmiley1 Ty, I see a lot of praise for Pedro and I’m really just not feeling him. Even the “stoicism”, it doesn’t exude the level of Rick Grimes-y raw masculinity that Joel does in the games, he kind of just seems grumpy.

Napalm is legal in the use of war. Illegal to use on civilians. I think something like this would be a grey area but I don't think the military would be concerned about it if they understood how bad things were to get. Maybe they were in denial. Napalm would have probably been a better option.

Huh, a very interesting follow-up from last Episode, so Tess only lasted until Episode 2, makes me wonder how long she lasted in the Game, I guess it wasn’t long either? I wonder what Next Episode will cover? Actually, how much of the Game do you believe this Season will Cover? Not the entire Game, right?
I think around like 2 and a half hours gameplay is when tess dies The first season will cover the first game and the second season will cover the second game I’m sure
@@johanstenfelt1206 No the game is like 15 hours long and big parts of that is actual gameplay and missions. I’m sure they can fit the story in 9 hours
I gotta defend General 3 Star H-Man. Napalm or some sort of fire makes more sense to stop infection vs just bombs. I mean I would think in todays world we would use Tactical Nukes but in 2003 maybe they weren't that proficient with them yet. So fire or something similar makes more sense than massive bombs.
People who are upset about the Bella Ramsay casting as Elly always came across as paedophilic to me with their "Elly was prettier in the ganes" nonsense
reminder this dumb ass theory they gave us about the shit growing underground was just a dumb ass way to kill tess. i hate how very misleading this show gets and it holds it back. i mean for God sakes they couldn’t even give us spores but the infected communicates to others within miles 💀 (peep how confused yall were when the infected was passing up tess😂 this show is horrible in its blue spots but great in the grey)
Though the UN banned napalm, flamethrowers, and other incendiary weapons in 1980. The USA stated they would observe the ban, but reserved the right to violate it if needs dictated their use. The series is BEFORE 2009, when President Obama signed the UN ban and the US military disposed all their remaining inventory of napalm. i don’t have a problem with bella being ellie in S1. but S2? i’ve seen hella Ellie Crossplays and feel like HBO and neil should actually do scouting also while making someone a star. HELL GET ASHLEY TO DO ELLIE HER DAMN SELF IN S2.

I can't stand this Ellie. this one was written more as an insufferable know-it-all than the one in the game. And I felt all the time she wants to prove herself capable... but when someone wants to know from her she retracts into being angsty. I hope I begin to like her

I think around like 2 and a half hours gameplay is when tess dies
The first season will cover the first game and the second season will cover the second game I’m sure
@@clover2739 huh? Won’t that be too much content for one Season to Cover?
@@johanstenfelt1206 No the game is like 15 hours long and big parts of that is actual gameplay and missions. I’m sure they can fit the story in 9 hours
Tess dies in the same section in the game, during that early mission through the museum
9:53 I'm also asking what because whatever they said got edited out.
What's better for supporting y'all, TH-cam Membership or Patreon?
Whatever is the most convenient for yourself.
I don't now where you got the idea of fungus fearing the sunlight but it's not true. They can freely grow anywhere they like.
Good to know, thanks
one of you guys are always talking over the show, I don't know how any of you know what is going on in the show.
Dear lord you guys talk, a lot. Can only imagine what it was like before you started pausing, but you should probably do it more often
Half the time you miss what is happening because you’re too busy talking instead of just watching it.
People who are upset about the Bella Ramsay casting as Elly always came across as paedophilic to me with their "Elly was prettier in the ganes" nonsense
Agreed. Why do they care so much about a child being attractive?
“The console war” 😂
34:20 stop yapping about loot
I'm with hman here. If everyone's turning to zombies, I'm going to ignore the Geneva convention
reminder this dumb ass theory they gave us about the shit growing underground was just a dumb ass way to kill tess. i hate how very misleading this show gets and it holds it back. i mean for God sakes they couldn’t even give us spores but the infected communicates to others within miles 💀 (peep how confused yall were when the infected was passing up tess😂 this show is horrible in its blue spots but great in the grey)
Just wait for the bloaters
just fyi, that napalm comment about being banned is correct. Normal bomb, cool. Napalm, not so much.
In 2003 the US had Napalm in their stockpiles and were willing to use it if they had to
Hey can you make a new video for the new owl house please
it will be coming!
Hi, react to the New Valorant Cenematics - Revelation!
i don’t have a problem with bella being ellie in S1. but S2? i’ve seen hella Ellie Crossplays and feel like HBO and neil should actually do scouting also while making someone a star. HELL GET ASHLEY TO DO ELLIE HER DAMN SELF IN S2.
Jesus, Ashley is 41 years old, do any of you know anything about casting? No, Bella will not look like Ellie, but they're actually the same age (I think she's even older) and the acting is on point.
You guys talk too much literally talking over every dialogues
I can't even hear what you guys are reacting to because four of you are just talking every second....
It's almost like it was edited that way on purpose? 🤔
And you're back, so you must enjoy it. Thanks for the support!
@@arhamjain4527 MY MAN! We knew you wouldn't listen, fight the system! WE WILL BURN IT DOWN! LETTSSSSS GOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Honestly I like their commentary. This seems like a you problem to be honest,if you don't like it just find another channel 💀
io this is a reaction youtube account, so they fucking reaction to what happens or that concept is just advanced for ya little mind of yours to handle ya daft cunt
This show is brilliant.... it annoys me how they ruined everything with the second game
I can't stand this Ellie. this one was written more as an insufferable know-it-all than the one in the game. And I felt all the time she wants to prove herself capable... but when someone wants to know from her she retracts into being angsty. I hope I begin to like her
This is exactly how Ellie acted in the game lol
dude of course she's angsty! she's traumatized as hell and she grew up in a world surrounded by death and hardship while being raised to become a soldier! also like that's literally just how 14 year olds act my little sister is 14 and she's a fucking insufferable little shit.
