Yes madam, 🙏 books newspaper were our constant companion.( now smart phone) Children ape their mother & nations literacy is directly linked to girls education.

Absolutely true. Ever since my child turned 2, I used to read stories for my child every single night irrespective of me being well or not. Before that, I used to narrate short stories in animated forms. Then he started narrating stories back. By the time he turned 5, he became an avid reader. Thanks to that practice and by God's grace, he has become a book addict today rather than an electronics addict. He explores a lot on his own using a mini library we have at home and shares his learning in our educational channel too.

I dnt have any idea that whether rich people follow this method or not but in all middle class families definitely this is followed bcz mother is the first person who took care of the children as she has much patience and definitely she will make the children to complete their homework or exams preparation or anything. And father will also follow the same thing. For this no other persons suggestion is needed. Bcz we middle class families will be in front to go for these methods.

Very nice and valuable advice ....thank you 🙏It is really a pleasure and also easy to understand for children when parents are reading books with them....it can be a study book or a story book.... result is grat when parents and children both are reading together .....it is my experience .... especially in this lockdown period....I use my time like this ...

I want one good suggestion :
My nephew has reached to Std 6.
Still he can't read newspaper or write something like 10 sentences of his own thoughts in any language perfectly.
Even some spelling which 3/4 std students know, he makes mistakes.
Main reason behind this is my jijaji has studied only upto 10th and he never encourages studying. I understand my nephew also has less interest in studies, but atleast he should have good basic knowledge of language and mathematics.
Can you please suggest how to make him interested in studies? I have tried many apps of English spelling and basic mathematics during lockdown. But he's not excited.
Else he is very good at understanding human psychology from very small age, he understands even what is not spoken just by half sentence or so.
Whenever he comes to our 🏠, even small changes or new things bought, it will not remain unnoticed by him.
He is very fond of Cid serials. He is very fond of playing games. He is very very good at making friends.
Whenever he comes to our place, our house is always full of kids from 3 -15 years. He has good relations with all kids of different ages. After he goes back, for 3-4 days atleast 3-4 will come daily, and ask if he is still there. After few days, whenever I meet those kids, they always ask, when will he come. He is such a cool and mixing nature guy.
He is very logical minded but some basics academic are must.
He remembers religious path things fast.
Please suggest me what I can do for him.
P.S. He is my sister's son. We stay in same town.

You can form a reading group where each kid narrates a story they have read or read out a story. This will get him excited to read.
Then you can buy bilingual (mother tongue&english) books from Pratham books/ Tulika books.
If he is interested in sports, you can buy sportstar. Buy study materials ( books /magazines) according to his interest.
Show him the value of learning through stories of APJ Abdul Kalam. I am sure he will improve
      All the best
