The fanbase, alumni and boosters want greater success and they've lost confidence in Franklin. Hell, let's face it, his ONE win vs. OSU that foggy, rainy night in 2016 was complete and total a fluke.
I don’t think there is a team in the country that benefits more from the 12 team playoff than Penn State. They are not going to win league titles but they can make the playoff 2 out of 3 years or 3 out of 4 years. They are a solid brand. In the last 10-15 years… PSU has been second to OSU in recruiting.

When Penn State won the Big 10 championship. Franklin talked a lot of dog doo mentioning beating Ohio State with no respect and not being humble at all. They have not beaten the Buckeyes since. He acted like a complete jerk during the post game in Indianapolis. He actually seemed unlikable. Gee...Is anyone surprised what Franklin has done?
These kids , yeah sport tech has made leaps . But yeah these kids with NIL are now divorced children playing parent against parent who needs me so they get the child support and has to than kiss their ass or their asking to go back and forth , to whatever they can get with less and less effort. It can be rewarded this way
