    I have been learning about money on my own since 2007 after I saw Ron Paul. I just knew there was something not right, but had no frame of reference until Dr. Paul. Only then is when I found out about all the wealth of good and sound information that is out there! I put most of the blame on education, they really did bury this kind of information. School did not teach these things! She is great! Everything she said just makes sense! I learned a lot from this short video. Very well spoken and knowledgeable, I can easily learn from someone like this :) ....sharing! :)

    The highest intinsic value of gold is restraint on goverment spending. Otherwise it has 5-6% industrial use and it is the commodity the wealthy buy and hold. The most intrinsic value is in silver not just because of much industrial use and increasing demand but it provides restraint for Gov spending plus it provides sound cash for the whole public-- to protect against more central control of money / currency.
    Let silver have it's free market monetary value for the benefit of all! Silver substitutes, profitable recyling, increased mining of the hard to get silver, wise industrial application will allow for sound silver cash. It is the most beneficial, natural money of the past and future.

  • @Capital_Ideas1
    @Capital_Ideas1 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    So many myths promoted here. First, who cares what anyone in the 18th or 19th centuries thought about money or economics. Much progress has been made since.
    Second, tying currency to a commodity does not make a currency stable. Quite the opposite is true. Commodities are very volatile, a fact which in itself causes periods of deflation and inflation based on the supply and demand for the commodity. That's completely unrelated to price stability or what's best for an economy. While the average inflation rate under the gold standard was roughly zero, there were wild shorter-term swings, leading to depressions and large inflations.
    Third, housing prices rise with inflation, on average, and when that changed in the 2000s, housing prices were rising faster than inflation. That was due to building restrictions in many major cities.
    Fourth, the Fed Funds rate being at zero doesn't mean money is loose. It's the supply of money over the demand for money that determines the market clearing or natural interest rate. Demand for money had increased faster than the supply of money from 2007-2012, so money was tight. That's why inflation was low and remained low. The Fed Funds rate was above the market clearing rate, due to the large increase in money demand that caused the Great Recession and Financial crisis.
    This woman knows nothing.
