Several months ago, a very lucky lady found a 100 note missing the green seal under the '100' text on the right side of the bill. If she sold it, it probably easily sold for 1000 or more. Very rare find and huge error.
From what I have read those stamps are called "chopmarks" and are used by some overseas money changers so they can more efficiently exchange bills without having to study too closely for counterfeiting. I have a $20 bill with a chopmark that consists of only a bank name that ends in S.A. - maybe from South America...

I opened my wallet to check out what currency I had. To my surprise I spotted a $5 bill with a mixed ladder and another $5 star note ! I keep all my star notes and varieties until I am able to start selling.
If anyone can fill me in on how to start out I'd be beholden to them. I'm to the point where I'm swimming in inventory.

What are your thoughts or opinion about selling or collecting $100 dollar birthday notes?
I personally like them. I think as far as value they generally are not worth a ton over face value unless the birthday of a famous person, an important date or the birthday of someone buying it. I collect star notes and stamped notes, neither of which are worth a ton, if any, over face value. I still love them though!
@@VarietyErrors I know you are looking for age appropriate comments and trying to follow along with that without hiding the truth the majority of the stamps you are seeing are from seedy people marking their products on hundred dollar bills. It's an unfortunate truth

Happened to me on a swedish 1,000 SEK bill worth around $100. It happens and is normal, both the bank, ATM and local police had no issues with it. Unknown what causes it but I wouldn't appreciate it as it looks ugly

Purchased 2 banded packs of $2.00 bills. Each note had a stamp on the top left front of bills, like a logo. Thes are new crisp bills, consecutively numbered bills. I have identified the company that stamped in blue ink on the bill. Are they worth any more than $2.00?
