Entering its third season, the story of the original fallen angel continues. As Season Two came to a close, Lucifer took care of a little problem called Mom, aka Charlotte (Tricia Helfer). But now he’s facing an even greater challenge - finding out who kidnapped him, and why his angel wings are back.
Based upon the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth and Mike Dringenberg for Vertigo, from DC Entertainment, LUCIFER is the story of the original fallen angel. Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, LUCIFER MORNINGSTAR (Tom Ellis) abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles, where he has teamed up with LAPD detective CHLOE DECKER (Lauren German) to take down criminals.
Charming, charismatic and devilishly handsome, Lucifer has a way of manipulating people into confessing their deepest, darkest secrets, which helps Chloe deliver justice. But Lucifer quickly discovered that Chloe makes him vulnerable. When he’s around her, the devil can bleed like anyone else. It’s a truly scary realization that doesn’t sit well with his best friend, MAZIKEEN aka MAZE (Lesley-Ann Brandt), a fierce demon in the form of a beautiful young woman. Maze wants nothing more than to leave Los Angeles and get back to her life in Hell, but Lucifer is having one helluva good time with the mortals, and she is not about to leave him behind.

I want a clean copy of the song Sinnerman played and sung by Tom Ellis. So far all that's on TH-cam is the TV episode version, Episode 6 Favorite Son, with the TV murder action laid on top of the song, drowning it out. How to get a good version of this Sinnerman? Tom Ellis does a grrrreat job on piano and singing.

This show is NOTHING like the Lucifer in the comics....Lucifer in the comics had NO concern with any of the Presence's creation, and wanted to escape the Presence all together....It deals in the philosophical ideal of free will vs. predestination where the presence is omniscient and everything happens according to his will...Lucifer hates that and tries to make his own choices....Lucifier is also unbelievably powerful, easily the most powerful character in the dc universe(besides the Presence and his brother Michael)...In this show Lucifer is totally BACKWARDS....For example: Lucifer gets angry when a human dies...WHAT?...or when the producer says that "Lucifer wants redemption"...WHATTT?

My point is: here you have a really original idea on an old subject (the comic book) and instead of keeping it as fresh and original you turn it into another cop show with a supernatural twist. Tv is filled with that sort of shows why is it so hard to give audiences novelty and originality.

2 seasons
The show is entertaining, but compared to the comic is poor, basic, crappy cop-show. They took the character, and made him human, mundane, weak, and clownish. It's a fine show, don't say it's not, just that it will have every comicbook reader hating everything about him. Constantine on the other hand was a fine rendition of the comic.

You might be right I fear it too, but I'll give it a couple of episodes to see.
On another note the cinematography and the music is amazing. I miss the lucifer from the comic too, but I feel the comic arc should be reserved for a good movie where they get the money for the effects. Cause a TV series can go into the storyline, but the pictures and effects often leave a lot to be desired.
I hope if this show is well received that might be open for discussion. I need more vertigo in my life.

If anyone wants to take a shot at my question without my personal feelings about the show please skip to the last two sentences. I try to carry faith without influence. Once I grasped the concept of right/wrong or good/evil I knew my path was set. When I did good I felt it in my heart. It translated to my mental state. Giving me a sense of well being in the cosmos. Likewise the wrong I've inflicted I felt deep down in the knots it left in my stomach. Leaving my mental frantic, nervous, and in need of re alignment. I can honestly say this show does me no spiritual damage of any kind. Quite the contrary I find it reaffirming the things I love about human nature. Has anyone noticed right outside Lucifer's club the sign that says believe? I'm curious if anyone here knows who the guy on that sign is?
