I own this baby, and I LOVE IT. It's my favorite moisturizer, bar none. I have combo skin so the problem I typically run into is that pretty much all moisturizers look oily on me even if they don't FEEL oily. I know a lot of people love that "glowy" look but I personally hate it, and have been on the hunt for a moisturizer that hydrated and moisturized my skin very well WHILE ALSO leaving a natural, satin finish and controlling any shininess. This moisturizer by Rovectin fits the bill perfectly. It feels great on my skin and I can feel it hydrating even hours later, but without any shine. I already bought a backup and I'm only on the first tube of it. Haha.
This is such a great moisturizer, it's so light yet hydrating and is perfect for combo skin and dry skin in the summer. It might be too light for me in the winter, but we'll see you never know.
@@NOBSBeauty I think it actually might pair very well with facial oils for the winter, actually! Because it won't add any extra shininess or greasiness, and that can definitely happen with most moisturizers when you add an oil to them or use an oil right after them, so it might be perfect for wintertime for you. Maybe it won't be enough for winter by itself, not for dry skin, but since I think you've said in previous videos that you like using oils in the dryer months, this moisturizer might be perfect for you then too. :)
This sounds fantastic! It’s going on my list. I read that Rovectin was originally formulated for sensitive/problem skin. So glad it feels good on your neck!
Everytime I go to buy and try a new product, I type the product into TH-cam and pray that your review comes up as it's only one I trust, and this time I was in luck!! So thank you so much!! If only you could review the Australian skincare brands we have here!
At the beginning I didn't like the smell of this product. It's fragrance free but it has that "chemical-close-to-sunscreen" smell. However, now that I've been using it for a FEW days, I felt like that smell is manageable and it reminds me that I have already applied it (cause it's lightweight!). Also, it gives my skin a glowing complexion which makes me confident in doing my online meetings as well as taking selfies with people. Thanks for the comprehensive review, as usual!
I like this one very much, too. However, I totally recommend you try their face + body moisturizer next (I think it's called barrier-repair), which is a little bit richer. I am currently layering both while I recover from over-exfoliation. My skin is improving beautifully. I apply the treatment lotion, layer the lotus water cream over it, and then add the face+body cream in the areas that need extra love.
@@NOBSBeauty it's fun! Honestly feels/ smells like expensive CeraVe 🤣 spreads smoothly as you work it into the skin, and every time I dip into the jar it's fun because it's kind of foamy. I really like it! Just wish it was a little cheaper, but I'll pay up for FAB because their stuff works well for me.
How does this compare to the IUNIK Centella Calming Gel Cream? (I have very oily skin) Update: I got both. The Rovectin is more moisturizing and has a slightly dewy finish (but it's still lightweight water gel), while the IUNIK is less moisturizing but has a smooth velvet (almost matte) finish. The IUNIK controls my oil better, so it's my favorite.
this comment is exactly what i needed. i have the IUNIK gel cream and i’ve found that it is slightly too under moisturizing for my skin. i have combination-oily skin, so i needed a moisturizer that just had a slight bit more moisture to it and i did not know if the rovectin lotus water cream had more moisturizer or not. thank you for this comment!
@@jaydine6336 You're welcome! I also enjoy the IUNIK Beta Glucan Daily Moisture Cream, which has a similar level of moisturization to the Rovectin, but a slightly more silicone-smooth finish. I wear the IUNIK Beta Glucan all over at night, and the IUNIK Centella Gel in the day (if I have dry spots, I will put the IUNIK Beta Glucan only over those spots). Again, I've got super oily skin, so it really depends on what you're looking for.
the iunik moisturizer has more of a serum like texture. I would not use that moisturizer alone. it might be a better option for you to just un a polyglutamic acid serum + the rovectin cream. and at night the beta-glucan serum (beta-glucan is better for dry skin so oily can handle it better on winter and at night, al polyglutamic serum is more of a one fit all. But the ingredients are complementary) and a light moisturizer (maybe the intree Cica Relief Cream that is very complete (but if it's too much for you skin just avoid the beta.glucan and jut use polyglutamic serum AM nd PM).
i appreciate your video. I would love a video on skin care products that are have antibacterial properties to use in the day for combo skin to help reduce acne while wearing masks.
I'd really really love to hear your thoughts on the Aromatica Calendula juicy cream. If you think the ingredient list is more beneficial and better than the Peach and Lily matcha pudding moisturizer specifically. I am loving the Peach and Lily cream but got a mini of the Aromatica cream and enjoy it also. I then saw your review on the matcha cream and it wasn't really raved about by you for its packaging and ingredients so I'm now wondering if the Aromatica would be a better choice. I was going to snag the matcha during the Ulta beauty sale but I'm now second guessing that decision 🙈😄 I really value your thoughts because I know how much work you put into discussing the ingredients and benefits! ❤️
I just purchased this cream from stylevana and I’m currently waiting on it to come in the mail. I saw another TH-camr talk about it and looked up the ingredients. I decided to buy it and pick up a few scinic products to test out. Now I’m super excited to get this cream. I’m on the hunt for a good no bs day moisturizer that doesn’t make me feel greasy and hydrates my skin. The Tatcha Water cream disappears on my so fast it’s unreal. I love the Purito water cream but it leaves a film on my skin. And a bunch of moisturizers I have like the Illiyoon alto ceramide concentrate, Tatcha dewy skin cream, isntree cica repair cream, etc. are too thick for me to use during the day but I love them at night. I don’t care to look like a greaseball at night lol. I’m super excited to try it!!! Thank you for reviewing it 🥰
I think you'll enjoy it, it's a better version of the Tatcha Water Cream, in my humble opinion. I've also been meaning to review the Illyoon Ceramide Cream and Lotion, i enjoy that one as well.
No BS Beauty That makes me feel more confident about my purchase. I wanted to love the Tatcha Water cream but it just doesn’t work well for me. So if I can get better quality for cheaper, I’m all for it!!! The Illiyoon alto is my fave night time cream right now because, for me, it is so intense that I just about never wake up with dry cheeks, especially if I have a thinner moisturizer underneath it. Plus you get a GIANT tube of it for so cheap! I really love the “ceramide, cholesterol, fatty acid” combo that companies are doing. I really do feel like Stratia Liqiud Gold and Illiyoon Alto have helped balance my skin out. I love watching you. Love your philosophy. Thank you for all that you do. I was a Patreon customer until I lost my bank card and had to cancel the card. Now, for the life of me, I can’t find where I can change my my card number on patreon. I get paid Friday so I’m going to try again. 💜💜💜
Hi could u plz suggest a few mosturiser for summer. I got normal to dry skin so I want a product that does not clog pores but hydrate and mosturiser thanx
I love your videos! So informative and entertaining! Have you ever done a video on Sunday Riley’s ufo oil? I’m trying to use it to fight some (what I’m guessing is) some mask acne but want to make sure I’m using it right! Or maybe you could do a video on mask acne and how to help heal/help it with some of your favorite products :)
I am looking for a day time cream cause it gets super hot and humid here and I don't like greasy sticky moisterizer in the day , I use to love the FAB Coco water gel for day cause it sunk in super quick but I think they changed the formula and not happy about it. Do u think this would be a good summer day moisterizer for 100 degrees 100% humidity..lol I want something that sinks right in fast and feels natural on the skin and works under tinted moisturizer bb creams
Have you looked in the box for your stickers? To decorate the tube and or box with! I haven't tried the Lotus Water Cream yet. But I got it for free last week. When I bought some other things from Yesstyle. I bought... ROVECTIN - Skin Essentials Conditioning Cleanser, ROVECTIN - Skin Essentials Barrier Repair Aqua Concentrate, COSRX - Balancium B5 D-Panthenol Cream. Loving all three! I'm sure I'll get round to trying out the Lotus Water Cream sometime soon. I have super oily skin, acne prone, dehydrated, sensitive, redness, broken capillaries. And acne scarring.
I just found the stickers' I had forgotten about them! I just ordered a few more Rovectin products to try out since I've enjoyed almost everything I've tried from them. Their Cleanser is so gentle and I really enjoy it. I also just ordered the Barrier Repair Concentrate- can't wait for it to arrive. That Cosrx B5 Cream is so nice and soothing. Definitely a repurchase in the future.
I just brought this along with the rovectin LHA blemish ampoule and the aqua sunscreen as well :) but not opening it up yet cause i do have tons of other skinscare to use up first😅😅
I've really enjoyed their sunscreen. I'm still playing with the lha Ampoule. Not so certain, but I'll keep testing it because you never know until you give something a good try!
I used to have pretty oily skin and used the iunik centella calming gel for my day moisturiser but bc of hormones and what have you my skin is more normal but dehydrated now so I'm going to get the rovectin one ^^

I had kind of passed by the brand after seeing all the fragranced products, even though they're supposedly targeted at sensitive skin. I may pick it up next year for Spring as I need a rich cream at this time of year. My skin is really dry (despite an excellent routine) and some nights I use a body cream on my face as most facial moisturisers aren't occlusive enough. i have tried a few sleeping packs and enjoy some of them, but my body cream functions for this fairly well (the tube does say can be used face and body fyi due to being formulated for eczema). I use serums etc for my actives and hydration underneath. Best wishes.
