To be honest every religon in India is like real life siblings. They ll bitch about each other, they ll fight each other, they ll celebrate festivals with each other and what not..but they know how to live with each other, and that's make India beautiful. It's not easy to be and stay democratic with billions of people from almost every religon staying together. Hats off to India and all the Indians!

Urdu isn't a Muslim language, moreover no language belongs to religion. Also Urdu is written in Persian script which is written right to left. Urdu is an Indian language as Indian as Hindi or any other language

Here, Uber drivers cancel the rides based on destination. Not as serious as racism.. nonetheless, it should be penalised.. cz it pisses me off!! Whenever I try to get a ride home, since it is most likely that they will not get a ride back from there, they tend to cancel... 😖

The uber thing is that the driver will call you before accepting the trip to ask where you are going. If you don't tell, or if they don't want to go to that location they won't accept. This option is to confirm the pickup location correctly and that is misused. Sometimes they just start the trip to see the location and see where you are going then cancel the trip.

I know being an Uber driver and driving around the whole day is a tough job, that's why for every eventless trip, I give them a 5 star rating but a lot of the drivers lack ethics. They would call you to inquire about pick up location and then ask where is your drop off, now people like me who hates confrontation would generally tell them right away but it is wrong, as passengers we should never tell them the location...god knows they might follow you with other intentions later; if they don't want to go to the destination, they will just cancel the trip, I have been stranded so many times because the driver either didn't want to go to the destination or didn't want to come to the pickup. Second thing they do is they will not cancel the trip sometimes when they are stuck in traffic, they would keep assuring that they are coming and as soon as 15 mins cross, they will say, can't come to the location, please cancel the trip....they will refuse to cancel the trip as they will have to give an explanation as 15 mins had expired, now if we cancel the trip, they cut some amount from us for no fault of ours, yes we do get that back but it's a lot of work and most of the times, we don't get the time to do this in daily office travel. Uber and Ola both have some shitty customer relationships here in India.
It's not that Uber drivers have a choice to take or not take a trip in India, it's just that they cancel the trip sometimes. And this happens in the US too. I have had 3 Uber drivers cancel a trip in New York.
In India, there are cases where the uber driver passed on information of passenger's telephone conversation to police station. NOW! The conversion was about his political views.... 😁😂 and the police took action too!😁

Uber drivers refused to take people in wheelchairs here in the US i know from a friend who is in a chair like me. However, it makes sense sometimes because if you don't tell them your in a chair when you call they will bring a small car instead of a wheelchair accessible van.

Probably because Indian cities are super big and also the speed of traffic is slower compared to that in the US cities. So going from one part of an Indian city to the exact opposite part and then coming back is a big deal and time consuming for most drivers. It will be like they drove to a complete different part of the country. Maybe that is the reason Uber provides the option for Indian drivers to cancel the trip. It is kinda annoying as a passenger but maybe that is the reason.
I lived in Chennai for two years! Horrible days of my life! Uber there is worst. They ask where we gonna go and then after managing to tell them because of the language difference they cancel the trip! Some of them will even start the trip or say they have reached the pick up point when they are not there.
My uber story: the driver will call and ask for the destination and then will cancel and say no no I cant go this is too far and I am like DUH.. why would I need a cab if it was near, I could have walked.. Also they will ask customer to cancel so that they dont get penalised and customer really dont have a choice because they just keep you waiting and dont come.
There is penalty to passengers if they don't reach the pick up spot on time. So some drivers idle just outside the lineof sight and don't pick up the call. The customer gets penalised 50 rs. It's not a bigotry thing most of the time just some lazy scamming
Yup that's true I have gone through the expereince of 3 taxis cancelling , but just coz of the distance , as it was quite far n it was me trying first time to get back from that far directly instead of taking a one stop taxi in bewteen n change .but that was the time ola changed the rules as I got after them that the guy can't start the trip without me , n show that trip is completed on the next turn . While I m waiting n paying for it too . I guess there must b more of such cases so we have this OTP thing now to sit n start the ride . But yup have gone through late at night imagining how to get back home if none of the taxis will ever go n being new in the city . Finally took an auto for an hour journey . 😒🙄😤 God bless that driver , n I tipped him well too 😇

There is penalty to passengers if they don't reach the pick up spot on time. So some drivers idle just outside the lineof sight and don't pick up the call. The customer gets penalised 50 rs. It's not a bigotry thing most of the time just some lazy scamming

Yup that's true I have gone through the expereince of 3 taxis cancelling , but just coz of the distance , as it was quite far n it was me trying first time to get back from that far directly instead of taking a one stop taxi in bewteen n change .but that was the time ola changed the rules as I got after them that the guy can't start the trip without me , n show that trip is completed on the next turn . While I m waiting n paying for it too . I guess there must b more of such cases so we have this OTP thing now to sit n start the ride . But yup have gone through late at night imagining how to get back home if none of the taxis will ever go n being new in the city . Finally took an auto for an hour journey . 😒🙄😤 God bless that driver , n I tipped him well too 😇
