I USED THIS TECHNIQUE FOR MY birthday cake! I used the pattern paste with Emmas goodies microwave birthday cake recipe lol, was great! I had no black color so I eyeballed it with ground up Oreos and adjusted the ratios of the butter and egg, no sugar added. Struggled without gram measurements though and I think the colored portions came out a Lil bit stiff. Definitely needed to be chilled, the next day the stiffness wasn't as noticeable somehow. I also used an ermine frosting which I flopped, but it tastes goodd. I used a recipe where they add the butter to the roux and I was disappointed..but again I did do this in a mixer, not with an electric whisk so maybe why.
Hi. I have a question I made it but when I was taking the parchment paper from the print right after taking out from oven half print came out and sticker on the paper. Please can you tell me how my print on the roll stays on the roll and not get rip.
You might've pulled the parchment paper off too soon. You wanna let it sit for a few minutes before peeling it off instead of doing it immediately. It's like when you bake a regular cake, you can't tip it out right away or pieces will stick inside the pan. But you don't want to let it cool down too much because it still has to be warm enough to roll it up so it holds its shape in the spiral.
this is such a great, informative video! And the end result is SO cute, I can’t wait to try this out!!!! Thank you so much for this 🤩 What kind of pan do you use to bake the cake in? also is it okay to leave the stencil paper & tape there while you bake or should you remove it beforehand? Loved this video so much, you’re very talented 🥺💖
Yes you can just leave them to bake! Because you put a baking sheet/parchment paper over it it’s totally fine. You need to use a baking tray roughly 30cmx33cm (13x13 inch) :)
Hello, I love this video and would like to make it for my friend and her mom for their birthday's!! Can you post a link or direct me to this actual "cat pattern" sheet that you used for this recipe? Thank you!!
Hi thank you for this recipe😍..I've made it twice already and i faild both times😭. My problem is that when I'm removing the baking paper the pattern sticks to the baking paper and comes off cake. But the spong is super fluffy and tasty💖 can you help me with it?..I've already tried changing the paper I use and I tried to make the pattern kinda thicker too!
Hi! Maybe you could try putting some butter in the paper, i know It sound weird, but just in the spaces of the drawings It Will help caming more easily
Yes! You can use any oil but I don't know that I'd try it with margarine in a spongey roll because of its higher water content. It might be ok but it also might make it less squishy and pliable to roll up.
Probably not since they taste really different and cream cheese doesn’t taste like actual savoury cheese like cheddar, you could replace it with mascarpone instead
the batter for my pattern never comes out of the piping bag nicely, it always stick to the batter instead of coming out😢 ive done it around 7 times but the same problem always happens, how can i fix it😢
@@couplewing will apply your tip the next time I bake this!!! Also I’m switching to parchment paper (I was using wax paper because where I live there are no different names for each other, they’re just “baking paper”)
@@dianacanton How did it go? It might've been the wax paper which is coated in paraffin and absorbs more moisture. I learned the hard way that wax paper is not my friend when I'm baking lol
@@skinsey85 not good!!! I tried again but with silicone paper (parchment paper) and the outline still gets stuck on the paper 🤡 I’ve already made like 6 rolls with no success
Does anyone have any recommendations for changing the filling? I don’t like cream cheese, so maybe doing something like putting cocoa powder would change the taste enough so I wouldn’t even notice it?
You can use any filling you like! :) I sometimes use whipped cream with fresh fruits or nutella+whipped cream. Usually whipped cream is the base and then you add flavor you like😉
Hmm for this slight difference in size I would recommend to stick with the recipe😉 your cake will be a little bit thinner but it will still turn out good!
Hola me encantó! Donde consigo el dibujo? Gracias.Nueva seguidora.Saludos

Too cute to eat!
Hi! Did you use gel or liquid food coloring? Love your work! ❤️
I think gel is better for meringue ☺️
Is that a parchment paper that you use on the drawing?
Amy , your amazing ❤
Beautiful work , it super cute ♥️ is there a way to convert this recipe ?
Beautiful! 🙀🥺 thank you for the inspiration! 🐱♥️

Here you can find some cute patterns!😉 I made them a bit bigger, you can also print it twice and tape the 2 pages together. Hope this helps!😘💕

I don't have vegetable oil, can i change it with margarine or regular oil instead?

@@skinsey85 i see.. okay, thank you very much!
Is it okay if i use a smaller tray
I made this today. 😢 but my pattern sticks to the parchment paper 😅 I guess I refrigerate the pattern too long? Help 😂
Hello!! Is it possible to use cheddar cheese instade of cream cheese?
Probably not since they taste really different and cream cheese doesn’t taste like actual savoury cheese like cheddar, you could replace it with mascarpone instead
Wow.. Replacement of egg... Or pl share eggless recipe
it's so cute.
will it be safe for shipping? i want to do this for my boyfriend :(
Hi. I tried you recipe but my design remained on the butter paper
Always wondered how you made them 🙈 im from Tiktok 😂
☺️😘
Sube el de los macarrons 🥰🥰🥰
I made it today, loved it! My pattern came out much uglier though 😂
Can you upload merangue cookies recipe 🥺
Muy bonito
Do you have a cook book?
I think youd be the first cook book id ever buy xD
My pattern got stick to the parchment paper 😔
the batter for my pattern never comes out of the piping bag nicely, it always stick to the batter instead of coming out😢 ive done it around 7 times but the same problem always happens, how can i fix it😢
My pattern always comes out beautifully tho😊 but it takes very long to draw it cuz the batter doesn't come out nicely
Maybe make it thinner?
I tried this method but I don’t understand why the pattern didn’t stick with the cake when I take out the baking paper.
i’m having the same problem!!! I’ve already done it twice and the design sticks to the paper
@@dianacanton i tried the second time, the key is, you need to make the pattern larger. And you only can keep it in the refrigerator, not freezer.

I recommend a layer of a fruity jam, then some whipped cream and fresh fruit (i like adding the same fruit as the jam is made of) :3
Thank you!!! 😊🤗
You’re welcome!🥰
😍😍😍😍😍
😍😍😍
tiktok brought me here😊
Podrían traducir al idioma castellano. Gracias. Saludos desde Argentina 🇦🇷
I dont have caster sugar, what can I use?
Any other white sugar is okay, if that’s not an option use powdered sugar
Me traducen la receta pls
Crying, I forgot to add sugar to the eggs 💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔
How can I change this recipe for an 30 x 40cm pan??!!
Hmm for this slight difference in size I would recommend to stick with the recipe😉 your cake will be a little bit thinner but it will still turn out good!
This should only be done rarely as its too muhc work
It is more work, but the outcome so worth it!🥰
