On the bale subject. If you get your hands on a square baler. You can do contracts that will produce straw. And just bale the straw before you close the contract. Then you get to keep the bales.
@joystickgeezer - I am glad you brought this up. I want to start working on it soon, but ideally we buy the one plot of land (part of the challenge) that includes wood. That way we can save some funds by utilizing our own wood vs buying it outright. We still may have to but I would like to try to utilize our own as much as we can. I do know there are going to be a lot of resources required and we likely will have to purchase some stuff outright but that is the goal. :)
@@ZorchFarming Sounds good. I just know that it takes something crazy like over 8 years when you do have the supply. I guess at the end you could just buy supplies and keep sleeping to go through those last few years.
