- This video is made up of 7000 pictures of Hong Kong, which were shot in many different places since three years ago.
We don't have magnificent sceneries here like Iceland and Arizona, but we do have some very local stuff here which could not be seen elsewhere like the overnight fruit market, bamboo scaffolding, tram passing through wet market, concrete jungles, and lots of lots of people, and lots of lots of photographers competing for the sunset and this is Hong Kong.
Since making this video in 2009, I have been obsessed with timelapse photography, and enjoyed so much every time before the sceneries with my tripod and intervalometer. For most shots, its been total enjoyment for the serenity and calm I had, although for some, like trams in wet market, I got a lot of unwelcome remarks from lorry drivers who were annoyed at my tripods.
I need to say thank you for everyone who has advised me in locations, and accompanied me in making this video. I cannot make it by myself. Thanks for always supporting me and being my guide!

Thank you Shelly! This video has taken me three years to complete, and through all these process, I have gained more understanding to the place I live and I enjoy every moment of peace and calm when looking at the magnificent sunsets and devoted athletes dashing towards their goals. Dear Charles, thank you for your comments. This video is intended for local Hong Kong people, the scenes are not all that magnificent but very local to those living here. You are right, the life aspect is more attractive than tourist stuff. I think I will continue to make timelapse video of the lifelihood of local Hong Kong people, and perhaps even the nature of Hong Kong which is always ignored.

I am living in Berlin and was so touched to see a video called "Little Big Berlin", which a guy made for the city he stayed for 19 years, focusing on the "life" aspect of the city rather than the touristic stuff. So we were searching for timelapse in HK but unfortunately the videos seems not able to catch the city life scene. keep up your passion and hope to see more videos of hk in the future!
